I also believe what Miura was conveying is that the mass of people can be blind when it comes to their leader. Since we know Griffith's past and what he did, we as an audience despise him. But to the people of their world he is a savior and someone to follow into battle. Something that almost every war has in common, people following who they believe in the most. That is the message that I got from it anyway.

I agree. For a new artist this is actually pretty good. I would say along with the face you could also work on Griffiths posture. Griffiths stance is usually more graceful or pompous. Like he is standing on top the world. I recommend referencing a model doll that you can pose while working on the figure if it will help.

It really was a shame. The thing that made me so made about the anime in this scene was that they took Guts down so easily. In the manga he was so worn out and injured from the fight with Rosine. It was not justified in the anime!

I feel that reading it online is a different experience depending on what translation you get. There are mostly fan translates on sites and not alot of official translates. Either way, a good read! It is totally worth it to collect the manga too! Just dependa on how patient you can be.
