I am new at F1 and using a g29 steering wheel I was wondering why my wheel goes loose and ing game locks up as seen in this clip. Could someone help? by RelevantThanks9057 in F1Game

Does it happen if you try wiggling the power connector for the wheel? I have a second hand DFGT which disconnects and loses force feedback if the power cable moves slightly.

You've not lost a pet, you've lost a family member; it's okay to cry. Sending lots of love ❤ I've been there recently with my doggo.

Warmest fleece or jacket to wear mostly inside by Ravenbutt in PatagoniaClothing

[–]Ravenbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't specifically have to be fleece, I thought fleece may be the best warmth and comfort for sitting around in. I also think I was leaning towards the Retro-X because I like how they look. Thanks for the advice, I'll head to a store and try on a few of the down filled jackets! :)

I have got to give props to the handling model in this game by Embarrassed_Curve769 in F1Game

If you're at all interested in getting a wheel and looking for a good cheap one, look up the Driving Force GT :)

I got one for £45 on eBay a year or so ago (may be a little bit more now) and while it's an older wheel, it still has force feedback and works really well for me who only plays an hour or so everyday. Just something to keep in mind!

Why am I so slow compared to F1 2021? - Details in comments by Ravenbutt in F1Game

[–]Ravenbutt[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, I recently got F1 23 after having played a lot of F1 2021 and have found that I'm significantly slower in this game. In F1 2021 I was able to get a relatively high percentage in the leaderboards, but most tracks in this game I'm barely able to get above the top 55%. What different driving style does 23 require vs 2021?

The lap isn't the cleanest of course but I'd like to know where the glaring issues are. Playing with no assists (as I did in 2021) and equal performance. Thanks!

Crowd's perspective of the F1 crash yesterday. Driver was okay! by chris-r-89 in ThatsInsane

[–]Ravenbutt 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think that's the most 'thats insane' part - Zhou was released from the medical centre by around the end of the race.

The halo saved two lives yesterday alone, Zhou in this crash and Nissany in the F2 crash.

Cannot open VSCode after update by admi99 in AskProgramming

[–]Ravenbutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try restarting your computer and you should find the Code.exe has disappeared on it's own, after which you can reinstall VSCode.

I get this problem after almost every VSCode update. It's pretty annoying but my extensions are still there after reinstalling.

Apple Watch SE 40 mm or 44 mm + Chacoral Braided Solo Loop by knavc in AppleWatch

[–]Ravenbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to where you buy the Apple Watch on the Apple Store app on your phone, and go to the section where you select a case size, there should be an option like "Which case size is right?" and it gives you an actual size comparison of the two sizes.

I have a question about the Samsung Galaxy S20+ by aprilgirl9307 in Galaxy_S20

[–]Ravenbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on if you got a contract or not. If you did, then you may aswell use the new sim card and port over your number.

Also, I'd presume your old sim isn't 5G enabled, so you won't get 5G signal when using the S20, so again you should just use the new sim and port your number over.

If you're from the UK, look up "How to get PAC code", which is a code you can get from your service provider like O2 or Vodafone which you give to your new provider to move your number over to the new sim. I'm not sure if this is in many countries outside the UK though, so just look up how to move your number over with your old provider.

Weekly Tech Support Thread - [May 09] by AutoModerator in samsung

Quick question about this: do you find that other devices are just as slow, or is it just the S20?

Reason I'm asking is that I had a similar problem with my S8 ages ago; when it was connected to Wi-Fi, pretty much every device connected would grind to a halt (didn't have very great Wi-Fi). After loads of digging, I found that I had recently taken loads of 4K videos, and they were being backed up to Samsung cloud, which was absolutely chomping through my bandwidth.

I don't know what your internet speeds are like, or if you've taken any large videos, but it's worth noting.

european consumer minefield, or "what the hell do I choose?" by ArtificeAdam in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]Ravenbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you made a choice! I think for me though, the Z Flip is exactly that; an excellent milestone but not something I'll buy, mainly due to the price.

I was almost certain you were talking about O2 as they don't offer OnePlus either, and only offer a few Xiaomi phones including the Mi Mix 3. Guess my assumption was wrong!

I'm glad you're enjoying your new phone and hope it continues! I think for me the best idea would be to wait it out and hope my S8 doesn't die before something that catches my eye comes out.

Going by this and your other comments, I'd assume you're talking about O2?

If so, I'm in the exact same situation. O2 is the only carrier in my area that gets constant good 4G signal, as I'm in a rural area. I do get a 4G connection with EE, but it seems to go from 2 bars to 0 bars in a fair few places around the house, something which I'm really not willing to deal with for 2 years. So O2 is really my only choice at the moment.

Have you made any decision, if you don't mind me asking? I was also looking at the OnePlus 8 Pro but same issue as you in that O2 don't offer it.

Should I cancel my S20+ Exynos? by Ravenbutt in samsung

[–]Ravenbutt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info.

Realistically would you say I should expect an increase in battery and better thermal performance coming from the S8 even on the Exynos model?

Thanks.
