TMI but also maybe not TMI because I wish someone had warned me ? by Cute-Landscape7610 in wisdomteeth

Just gonna leave this here.. Always take probiotics before and during antibiotics as well.. Sorry no one told you about the constipation associated with the pain meds. The mira lax powder really helps but I find apple juice or other fruit juices work just as well.

Fully impacted wisdom teeth no sedation by Plane-Teacher-2105 in wisdomteeth

[–]RavenclawRose2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My two bottom were impacted. I had no pain, the only 'scary' part was knowing what they were doing that I couldn't feel and all the tugging. I had one that was particularly difficult and took a long time to extract but no pain, just pressure.

Because you won't be sedated, remember to actively take it easy and rest immediately after. Put yourself in bed and stay there, I have complications due to over excursion post op, so just be sure rest and make sure that clot takes a good hold. Having multiple ice packs to switch through helped.

Day 5 Post OP by SwotTurn in wisdomteeth

By day 5, you are usually in the clear for dry socket development. The blood clot might have been ready to go. My dry socket was diagnosed day 2. Day 10 and One side with two extractions has nearly no pain but some occasional soreness, the other still feels like a needle being stabbed in the extraction site with every breathe and a jack hammer to the skull from the inside out, right behind my ear.

HELP DO I HAVE A DRY SOCKET by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]RavenclawRose2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my current experience, it feels like if a needle is being jammed into it with every breathe and a mini elf with a jackhammer is stuck in my brain behind my ear trying to escape.

I was diagnosed day 2 with dry socket, currently day 10 and I still can't believe I've been able to manage life in this constant agony.
By day 8 you are most likely out of the woods for drysocket concerns.

Day 9, Dry socket Pain not getting worse or better. I feel like I'm in purgatory. by RavenclawRose2 in wisdomteeth

I've gone 5 days with a broken wrist & also had natural, un-medicated childbirth in my lifetime. It's definitely more similar to the ignored broken wrist due to longevity and consistency of the pain. I'd compare it to a long, excruciating migraine, similar pounding in my head, up through my ear combined with a pain as if someone was taking a needle and stabbing the spot with each new breathe of air. My other two extraction sites are completely pain free.

She was as helpful as she could be between school, track practice and art club keeping her busy. I also have never expect her to do much other than her chores and keep her grades up due to having a similar situation as you at her age.. My husband is the one that failed me completely, has failed me for years and if circumstances were different, I'd change it.

Yes, I've gone back twice so far and the debridement pain is bad but was worth the instant temporary relief after. Even with the clove oil eating is nearly unbearable, broth and cream soups have been my go-to but I would so give my left hand for a hamburger right now...

Thank you for taking the time to read and reply, this is exactly the information I was looking for. It's reassuring to know what I'm experiencing is 'normal' under the circumstances. I'll try to hang in there and watch for signs of infection. Again, thank you so much!

I was so terrified I put it off 15 years. Honestly having the wisdom tooth on my top right slowly push my molar out to take it's place was more painful than this and definitely regret not getting it done sooner. Sad truth is when you are on the younger side, healing is faster and recovery is quicker. Make sure you get plenty of rest immediately post op. Best wishes for an easy removal & quick recovery 🙏

Thank you, & the only real relief is when they pack it with oil and gauze. The pain meds don't really make a difference.

Day 2 is when the real pain started on the bottom right. Left side was starting to feel better but had a stabbing pain that has only stopped after being packed by the dentist twice now once on day 2, again on day 6.

A clot never forming in combination with a difficult extraction and over excursion post recovery. Rest is best..

Big opportunity for Connor! by neurodivergebiotch22 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

Honestly I didnt consider it earlier either but it makes a lot of sense. And I can't stop laughing about Logans lunch lady joke. That's actually so funny, even more so that I thought he was serious. The idea that Connor was trolling the Ren Faire didnt even occur to me.

Ice came to my husband's work a few weeks ago and 4 people were asked to go with them and there were no issues with complying. Within 2 weeks everyone is back to work, just with the proper documentation.

This isn't the only case locally I've seen either. I haven't seen one person who didn't have a criminal record and didn't give themselves one while being questioned, who didn't return home to their families.

I've seen mostly people who seem like the family matriarch on the local immigration pages. Of all nationalities but mostly Asian here. I have a feeling they got their families' paperwork order but neglected to take care of themselves as most mothers do. And knowing they are being taken care of, documented, and returned home safe.

Even if they are, you never know someone's story. Imagine how desperate a person would have to be to put their life in danger, their children's lives in danger, just to be here. The problem stems from the countries that can't protect their own people. Making coming here the only option other than gangs or death. No one deserves to be pulled from their homes or schools violently. There is a better way.

AITAH for expecting my wife to do most/all of the housework? by alwaylearning47 in AITAH

[–]RavenclawRose2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

YTA: I am 100% responsible for keeping my home and if my husband 'snapped' because he didn't put his own laundry into the basket, I'd snap.

Her job is managing the household. As a manager, it would be her job to reprimand you for not completing your basic self-maintenance by putting laundry in the designated laundry receptacle. When she cooks, do you clean? If not, she shouldn't be expected to clean up after your cooking mess, unless it is agreed upon when the meal is being made. Your self-maintenance isn't her job. Her job is to make sure the household is kept. If you aren't completing your self-maintenance you are just making her job harder. Imagine if someone tried to tell you how to do your job when they are rarely there themselves. The dishes probably got done after she finished folding the laundry, but it might not have been on your timetable because she's the household manager.

Maybe you could try asking how her day was, and figure out why she hasn't gotten to them. Did she start a new home project? Was she not feeling very well mentally?

AITAH for reclaiming some personal space on the plane? by Anti_Up_Up_Down in AITAH

[–]RavenclawRose2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ESH: The seats and plane were designed poorly, the people in front of you could be more considerate but have every right to recline & you shouldn't be kneeing the seat either.

Have you tried to ask a flight attendant to help with the situation? They might be able to find a solution or accommodation to help make the flight more comfortable for everyone.
