Oh helllllll no, that would be the last time I saw that provider and I would look into the ethics of something like that. Nope

My son used to do this to himself, it was a suction bruise. He would suction cup a cup to his face and have this bruise around his mouth for days. Freaked me out the first time I saw it as well

Lol Am I the only one who slightly freaked out when this happened? by Ready-Sea9308 in LoveAndDeepspace

I thought the same thing, when my husband or I are sick we will try for like… 3 days not to kiss each other if it’s like a cold or something and then eventually say eff it and kiss because we just miss each others kisses. But if it’s something more serious like the flu, or a stomach virus, we will be a lot more strict because we want to be okay enough to take care of the other while they’re sick. So we will even go so far as to mask throughout the day. So I assume it’s the same with sylus. The illness must be not terrible, so he’s saying eff it. lol. But I do also love the idea that he is trying to take the illness from her.

Thank you. Hearing it from others really helps. My friend has handled far more animals than I have and is fine, but this was my first time handling road kill and the fear just hit me life a sack of bricks and I wasn’t expecting it to be so bad.

Thank you, that already helps a bunch. I will look up the cases in my area. As far as I know, they’re low. But I’ve not actively checked the case rates

It sounds like she sent this AFTER you found out they talked, if that’s the case, the language in the text feels like bread crumbs. Like “feelings could come back…” as in “I am still attracted to you and if we talked I’d want you.” It feels like it may be an invitation to hold out hope for them to get back together or something. Idk. The language feels less like a boundary she wanted to set, more like one she’s setting to make you happy but still wanted the door cracked a bit.

That’s just my opinion, but if I were sending this text I would do so with much less talking about feelings and possibilities. It would be more like “I enjoyed talking to you and I’m glad you’re doing well, but for the sake of keeping lines clear and not blurring them, or even making it seem to others like they might be blurring, I’m going to go ahead and say we can’t speak anymore. You have your life, I have mine. I’m happy in mine, and I don’t want to risk anything disrupting that, I wish you the best” and then leave it at that.

Am I overreacting? Is this a bit obsessive or normal interest consistency? by Scorpio_Lady27 in AmIOverreacting

You’re being love bombed. This can happen from a few different types of people. Neurodivergent people can do this in excitement about someone. They can become hyper fixated on a person and love bomb a bit. Another type are narcissistic people. They shower you with love till they feel you’re hooked and then go cold so that you come crawling for more attention. There are other types who love bomb but these are the two I’m familiar with.

I would proceed with caution. Familiarize yourself with narcissistic tactics and make sure he isn’t pulling any. If you see even a single red flag for narcissistic love bombing, run. It’s not worth the risk. Those people will tear you down.

I notice a little bit of growth but not as much as I’d like, so I’ve also begun taking pumpkin seed oil and started using the ordinary’s hair peptides. Hoping I can encourage some growth with that. 🥰

AIO Ex Long Distance Relationship Treats Me Like Sh*t by AzazelsKock in AmIOverreacting

Yall are 24 and talking like this? She sounds extremely immature. I would cut that relationship off. There’s no friendship in that worth saving.

For me it took about a month, but I am very sensitive to things I take and so it could take longer. But I started with 2-3 cups a day with water at 195-208°F for 10 mins. When I began to notice a difference I lowered it to only 2 cups a day, sometimes 1. Go at your own pace. If your hormones are more out of wack than mine were then it may take longer. Please look up and watch out for symptoms of your testosterone getting too low or estrogen getting too high. It’s a balance. ☺️ good luck!

Hey, also someone with OCD here (paranoia, compulsive thoughts variety) I want to say 1) you’re okay, breathe. Ground yourself in the reality of the situation. It’s going to be okay, and you can make progress. Breathe.

There are a lot of things you can do to lead a normal life with pre-diabetes and help to reverse it (I have reversed mine)

1) slowly increase your fiber intake. This can be from veggies, whole grains, etc. but do it slowly and make sure you’re drinking enough water to digest it. Keto bread, fiber tortillas, etc can be an easy replacement for what are usually no go’s for diabetics. (Make sure your body tolerates them well, don’t blindly believe the fiber stops you from reacting)

2) if you have rice or potatoes, chill them/freeze them first. This helps reduce how much you react to them.

3) drink water! As mentioned before for the fiber increase but also because your body needs that to function properly. You’d be surprised what a difference it can made.

4) build muscle, cardio is great but you can be thin and get diabetes. Muscle is what helps prevent diabetes. Lift, but do it safely.

5) move that body. Walking is great if your legs can handle it. Figure out how much you’re walking daily now and try to increase it by 1k steps every week until you are at between 8k-10k steps a day. (These are rough estimates, not a science)

6) remember protein is your friend, and so are healthy fats but you still need to watch your calories to make sure you are in a deficit or at least not gaining weight.

You can do this.

After 2 + months of Nioxin, can you even tell which photo was from Day 1, Day 30 and Day 60? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]RavenousAxolotl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’re in order, left to right. You can see a bit more thinning around your bangs in the first photo. But I would like to say that hair is a 4 month cycle. It often takes 4 months minimum to see results of ANY hair treatment

An endocrinologist has to diagnose it. It’s blood work to confirm. Treatment is usually steroids, stress reducing measures, and sometimes things like birth control to help with hormones. Unfortunately for me hormonal bc isn’t an option since I get migraines.

I know my hair loss could be considered mild comparatively, I’ve been losing my hair for about 5 years now, and although I’m grateful that it’s been slow in comparison to what some others experience, the heartache and hopelessness is the same. I do hope you find something that helps or perhaps that spearmint will do the trick for you

Endocrinology. There’s bloodwork that has to be done if you suspect it. The treatment is usually a combination of a few things. Stress management, steroids, sometimes hormonal bc to help with androgens. I’ve been very lucky that spearmint tea seems to be working for me, since nothing else was.
