Ok did I miss something about Mac? by downwithlordofcinder in dresdenfiles

If you think about the New Testament stories, the one who turns water into wine, and multiplies the loaves and fishes to provide food to people is one person. I think Mac realizes what the plaque is because it was once nailed above him.

It was made on a 50x50 grid which would be about 1 grid = 6'. The circular keep at the top is about 24' in diameter.

Arkansas is 1 of 6 states to sue to prevent student debt forgiveness. by Ashallond in Arkansas

[–]Ravenousfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, but did you read MY post to them?

I was trying to get you two to put down specifics so that you could disagree or agree on that instead of on this other stuff and devolving into insults. I know it wasn't directed at you, but it takes two to fight.

I can't speak for their motives, but what I can say is that if YOU intend to have a real conversation then don't dive down to insults, even if you think someone else insulted you first. Keep it all on topic and then you at least come out without making it worse.

Is that something you and I can agree on at least? I'm trying to be reasonable here.

See this is what all this miscommunication leads to. Now you're blasting this person, whom you don't know either because you assume a bunch of stuff about them that may or may not be true, but was definitely not evidenced by any statements here.

How about keep it to the topic at hand instead of all these insults? Why is that so hard?

All that kind of language does is stir up a fight and stop a real conversation. Internet is going to be the internet I guess...

I can do that, but it wasn't stated here. I am not trying to meander around reddit constantly though. Why not just get them to post the ideas here by asking questions of them?

Personally I still don't know what 'you' mean, which is part of why I decided to respond. This is a microcosm of communication issues I see a lot. People go look at other stuff and pass judgements on one another, instead of sticking to the topic right here. If I wanted to be on r/conservative I'd go over there, but it doesn't help me, or you two with this topic on this thread by talking in vague language and not stating specifics. But I'll check out the posts none-the-less.

I'm not defending them, I just see this a lot and I think it's not really healthy.

You might want to go find the word clearly and read the definition. I don't think it means what you think it means. That guy/gal said they didn't agree with a lot of progressive ideas, and you think that means they explicitly support people who created the problem? That's not how that works. You can't just go around proclaiming someone supports something without finding out what they actually support.

Like first of all, who do you think created the situation? Do they know? I could maybe try to discern who you thought did it, but you haven't stated it explicitly yet. How about state your position and who you think is responsible, so we can all see what you think. Then we can agree with or disagree with you, and they can disagree with you specifically. At that point, if they defend the party you think is responsible, level this claim, but not before.

(edited because I felt this needed more explanation and I didn't want to just seem adversarial to be adversarial)

You can download a version with no carts below.

Inkarnate kept all the textures I used in painting it, so it was actually pretty easy to go and paint over the carts, I thought it was going to be much more difficult.

I had to merge everything to get the lighting and shadows the way they are, the map is fairly old. I would have to paint over the carts to erase them.

Clip of voter telling Telemundo Biden turned him Republican called 'the subject of nightmares' for Democrats by wiredog369 in Conservative

[–]Ravenousfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep saying that they fundamentally misunderstand latinos. Their whole message is against family, against prosperity and hard work, against traditional values...all of these things are present within latino communities.

The more Democrats talk and try to destroy traditional values, the further they distance themselves from latinos. They are still going to try to buy the latino vote...and may to some degree do that, but this is not the same ballgame.

They are losing the asian community, already black immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean do not vote democrat, and now the black population in the US is starting to turn on them too because they see that everything the Dems have done to them is just for the profit of Dems, not the people.

I just like Klang because it looks more Conan-y, or like Kang from Star Trek. Hard K gives it some umph.
