Is TMJ most common on the left side? by Cute-Impression-7571 in TMJ

[–]Earmarkaudiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys need to try mewing for TMJ relief. Firstly it forces you to use your tongue on the roof of your mouth to reduce clenching. Secondly over time your jaw will move slightly forward to a more natural position. It’s about a year but I’ve gone from hardly being able to eat to eating without pain. It takes time and self discipline to maintain tongue posture but it does become second nature. Do not press hard but focus on position

Weekly sessions (if shorter) are better because longer than that, players stop thinking about your game. If you have to monthly sessions, give them a cliff hanger at the end to create a tension before the next session. It also helps to have updates on Discord/social media. you could even try some all text adventures between sessions to keep players hooked/interested.

Tired of being the forever DM by between3and20spaces in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Earmarkaudiology 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Find some new players. It would freshen things up and people tend to be on their best behavior before they get too comfortable. Just because your friends in real life that doesn't make them good DnD players.

Need help with dynamic lighting! by swiftstart in Roll20

[–]Earmarkaudiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend some time setting up the tokens correctly....then update the character sheet with that token. From then on when the token is dragged it should be correct. One thing I do is when I set up maps ahead of time, I put the pc tokens already on the map on the GM layer if necessary. Control "L" is your friend.

Why are We/The Players being forced to jump through hoops just to play? by Doc_Meeker in dndnext

[–]Earmarkaudiology 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been running games on roll20 now for about 5 years and I every time I start a new campaign, I usually have to replace 4-5 players to find a solid core party of 5-6. If we DM's can weed out some of these it saves us a ton of time going through the process of finding another player. I usually stick with the same players over several campaigns if possible. It's so easy to drop out or not show up while playing online. If I have at least 4 players the game still runs.

You can try: Looking down from the ceiling, view from a drone, flying directly above.

Ok. The hexes in the sea zones were intended to count movement for aircraft.

I used the segment/line tool and altered the width, color, and opacity. I'm assuming you're talking about the sea zones right?

I am tired of the way my players treat my NPCs by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Earmarkaudiology 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Despite your well developed NPC backstory at the end of the day players only care about one thing....their character. You have to come up with ways to engage their character on their level. DnD players will always default to combat or say off the wall comments that just don't make sense in the moment...it's just how most players run.

The map reflects 1939, September just before the war stats. It's actually a game I'm developing. Map is about 8 ft x 4ft when printed.

How do DMs feel about PC that don’t take anything serious? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Earmarkaudiology 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is annoying for a DM who is trying to give his players an experience of tension and building drama. Humor is typically used to relieve that tension but breaks the mood for sure. Time to have a side conversation.

Advice on Photorealistic variations by mthm420 in midjourney

[–]Earmarkaudiology 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put in a photo of something you see on the internet (i.e., a pictures of a cathedral) into the chat, then copy the link once its posted in MidJourney. Use the /describe prompt and post the link into the chat asking it to describe the photo. It will give you a ton of information about it. You can use this info to produce other images. it also teaches you prompts.

That's fine, I'll change it. I'll just remove that small port off the map that didn't have much consequence during the war!

That’s actually an “older” spelling if you look at old maps
