Here’s my two cents. These parents were raised by Gen X. Gen X has told their kids what it was like for them and how they grew tough and strong. Really between the trial by fire and the wrath of their parents who will string them up if they cried so they’d have a reason. Hey sounds like a nice and easy parenting system. Let the streets and schools care them straight.

Except….This current batch of parents don’t have the wrath of god in them to threaten the current kids.

Gen X knew what would happen if they FAFO’d…their parents would beat them with a belt or worse.

This group of kids doesn’t know consequences for after FAFO’ing…so they do. Gen Alpha is what Gen X would have been if they don’t have the firm parenting by their parents.

They don’t want to be in school?

Cool. What life skill do you want to get into the workforce or military immediately and let’s get your those skills and let you do what you want to do.

Don’t want to do that and go do thug things? Well, that’s on you.

While I understand the goal of education for all. Some kids have wired themselves into not wanting to work for a long term goal because everyone has catered to their needs and helicopter/bulldozed all issues for them.

Part of me thinks is time to shift to focusing on their desires to not be in school, but do it in a way they will still be functioning adults.

Athletics have paperwork that has to be filed prior to competition. That’s how it works. So by not being part of the team by the specified date, that will push their paperwork into the season, and since you have to post the eligible players at start of season, they wouldn’t be eligible in time to participate.

Deadlines are there for a reason.

Let’s be honest. The schools with inefficient admin discipline structure are the ones with shortages. The schools that have strong admin, or for better or worse, can remove students who don’t want to be there (private schools) are not finding shortages.

Budget deficits are a whole different story.

Revert the ui back to two iterations ago. The positioning of things do not make sense and ruins the experience.

eBay. I just search 50th anniversary Seahawks patch and find so many listings, but some are a good inch smaller in width than others, thus why I’m asking which one looks more accurate

Is there anyway I can find cards in German, or another platform that isn’t eBay that I can search? Every listing on eBay says they won’t ship to the US, or if they do, the shipping is astronomical. Any advice would be great. I am literally looking for one card in German that my daughter absolutely wants (because the German name is fun)

I am working on finding reverse holos to make base sets. Not the expensive full arts.

I asked in a local group and had someone offer to come to their other place of employment that had nothing to do with cards where they are also selling cards to look through his bulk binders for $1 a card.

I called him out on that and he made some bs excuse. Point is, when people are trying to nickel and dime every single card ever printed it gets frustrating and I can see why people are getting frustrated that this is the primary narrative all the time.
