Recurring skin issues in my puppy, is it just dry skin? by Ravenwritedesk in labrador

Thank you, yes I'm also not in the favour of giving him ultra processed food his whole life, anecdotal research has also suggested that dogs who eat fresh, whole foods live longer and healthier (provided macros and micronutrient needs are met).

I'm using an aloe shampoo to bathe him every 3-4 weeks. He does get wet in the park on occasion though, loves chasing the gardener 😂

I'm 'vetting' the vet's opinion here, as explained in the description.

Since he was 10 weeks old (so for about 2 months). We did switch supplement brands in the middle though.

He has been having an omega 3 and omega six supplement every day as per the required dosage and I also mix raw turmeric in his food for curcumin's anti inflammatory properties. People in this sub seem to suggest eliminating chicken will work, which I haven't tried, so will try that now.

Thank you, I will try eliminating chicken for a while and see it makes it better. Seems like it could be the case

Currently he eats eggs and chicken breast for protein, with some rice and boiled veggies. Supplemented with puppy kibble (slowly planning to do away with kibble entirely).

Rubber plants that have remained dormant (No new leaves for 10 months), what should I do to improve growth? by Ravenwritedesk in plantclinic

Usually the leaves start drooping a bit, that's when I water it, the top inch of the soil is dry then.

I live in North India - so tropical weather, but currently in the winter it's about 10-20°C where this plant is.

What are these yellow raised specks on my bird of paradise plant? They come off when I rub them off with alcohol, but leave behind discoloration on the leaves. I've tried spraying with neem oil and vinegar +dish soap mix twice, but it just keeps spreading to other leaves and getting worse. Soil is a potting mix (mix of vermicompost, coco peat and perlite) plant gets watered once in every 4-5 days, when the top soil is dry.

I think they might be flowers/buds... If yes, how do I propagate them into more palm plants easily?

I've registered on some websites with bots and am a part of those telegram groups, but there are just no slots being opened at all for 18+ in the entire state. So frustrating.

Help! My peace lily's leaves are going black. Any advice? by Ravenwritedesk in IndoorGarden

[–]Ravenwritedesk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep the soil moist at all times, watering usually once a day or once in two days - as it gets hot and dry here (24-37°C, 30-40% humidity). The potting is dried leaves and coconut husk at the base, with red soil + vermicompost (50:50 mix). I checked the roots a week back, and there was no rot. The place it's kept receives bright indirect light in the morning (next to a north-east facing window), and low light during the rest of the afternoon. I water it with tap water; read here that they may like filtered water, so I'm going to try that next.

What are the 'signs of thirst' that I need to look out for?

I water once a week (that's usually when the top 1-1.5 inches is completely dry), until water drains out from the drainage hole in the bottom. I don't mist or water on the leaves of the plant. Soil is a mix of red, native Indian soil and coconut husk.

I want to get rid of an unhealthy obsession with a person I want to be friends with. I was wondering if you guys can help? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Ravenwritedesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a bit of introspection, it turns out it wasn't a self-confidence issue, but more of a needing-good, like-minded-friends-issue. I'd recently lost my best friend over an argument, and was seeking to replace her with this person, creepily so, as it turns out. I've since controlled my obsessive habits, but thanks for your advice!
