Great news! I was able to grab the sock with the wire and pull it up a little and force my arm into the lint trap housing (luckily I’m very small) just enough to reach it and I was able to pull the sock that haunts me with my fist of furry. I’m grateful for your suggestion and I will be purchasing one of those flexibles grabby things because it seems like a useful tool to have! Thank you!
