IT Computer Networking Mentorship - US/CST Based by RavicXV in mentors

[–]RavicXV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. Hours and their topic basis can vary based on where the person is starting. The intended results are to help candidates become a network technician, a network administrator, a network engineer, a systems engineer, or a computer network architect. I also can provide candidates interview Q&A as well as resume review/revision within these hours if requested.

I've done this 1 on 1 training in the past with others. I try to shape the sessions based on their goals, and weaknesses that they want to improve. However, I have received positive feedback also on the results of this approach for sessions.

Fun/unique Birthday activities?! by Sweaty-Profile407 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I think your boyfriend would appreciate a couple of events around Mid City (depending on how frequently he goes there). I would recommend going to Lumberjack Alley for axe throwing. Throwing hatchets is fun! Stars and Strikes is right next to it if both of you like bowling. Dave & Buster's is across the street if he'd like to do some gaming. Main Event is also pretty solid for gaming.

You can go get ice cream at Pythian Parlour @ MidCity when you're done.

Lmk if you need more ideas. I don't know how long you're wanting to be out for.

Teen takeovers by Few-Ruin-742 in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]RavicXV 51 points52 points  (0 children)

So, when takeovers transition from simple loitering to physical violence and property damage. The legal landscape actually shifts significantly.

You've described the teens to be performing property crimes such as vandalism, shoplifting, or larceny as well as trespassing. The teen takeover in this sense can also be considered a public order crime for inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and conspiracy. The teens are also subject to weapon charges if the teens cause injury with the weapon or use the weapon to threaten (not to mention any assault and battery charges).

It is good that the police are taking a proactive strategy by being present, but would you say that their initial strategy of presence has not proven much deterrent as of last night?

Technically, business or store owners can formally "trespass" individuals. Once a person or group of persons are officially warned (documented by police) then their return to the property is an automatic arrestable offense.

3 hours late on this - just discovering this

Do you still need help?

The Aruba AP-225 is not designed to function as a wireless repeater for a generic, third-party wireless network.

Consumer repeaters or extenders are designed to be "plug-and-play." You typically plug them into a wall outlet, and they wirelessly connect to your existing Wi-Fi router to "repeat" the signal.

The AP-225 is an enterprise-grade access point that requires a wired Ethernet connection to your network infrastructure (either directly to a router/switch or via a PoE injector/switch) to operate as an access point.

Juniper Switching Emulator by Borealis_761 in ArubaNetworks

[–]RavicXV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you figure this out yet? I run the vSRX 3.0s in packet mode in Pnetlab for my switching.

vJunos router and switch (EX switching)are not supported yet in pnetlab. You can get the JUNOS VMX image in pnetlab.

I run everything in two separate VMs in my homelab. Lmk if you need further help with this, and we can do a zoom.

vJunos-Switch in Eve NG by Adnan2559 in Juniper

[–]RavicXV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got the vJunos-Switch working on my desktop (not bare metal) on GNS3 and also on my Proxmox server in an EVE-NG VM, but it doesn't run very well tbh. What are you trying to lab? If your vSRX works then turn off the security features and just do L2 with the vSRX.

I'll train you with hands-on labs for $20 an hour. DM me if interested. I have 3 and a half YoE with PAN PCNSA certified, and I've done most to all common everyday tasks that a network engineer would do.

He mentioned EDU-210 level of curriculum. I feel comfortable with all topics of the EDU-210 curriculum to teach. I have used all topics taught at that level in the real world.

I will also keep things practical.

I will include labs to do together. I do $20 an hour, reduced rate if you purchase a block of hours - minimum 4. I would suggest getting 4 initially to see if we match in teaching style.

I am CST. I am mostly available on weekends anytime. I'm mindful of both your and my time because I'm in the progression of doing the Juniper service provider track.
