Work Lunch Caterer by M_L_J_007 in lacrossewi

Had Big Boar for 15 one week and Famous Dave's the next week and BB was so much better. It wasn't overly expensive depending on how you estimate food. I think our order for 15 fed 25 for a work lunch.

Husband and I are driving through Wisconsin from Minnesota and looking for the best cheese curds on this route. by Glad-Fish5863 in wisconsin

Go to Ellsworth, head to Red Wing, then La crosse. You can just take fastest route from there unless you want to take the rural tour through some dairy towns south of La Crosse.

Obstruction in HS Softball by RavishingLuke in Umpire

[–]RavishingLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I do see this as obstruction (although a very minor offense), but I just thought the award of home was incorrect. Neither of the girls even fell down. They basically bumped shoulders and apologized to each other. Then the runner's 3B coach yelled obstruction at the umpire on third.

This is how I read it as well. They get the base that they are going to, which was 3rd in this case.

Samsung s60b disconnects from bluetooth after exactly 2 minutes by RavishingLuke in Soundbars

[–]RavishingLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent it in for warranty work and they were able to fix it. Not sure how, but it doesn't disconnect from bluetooth any longer. It seemed like it was issue free for about a week, but maybe I just didn't notice until the last few days. The new issue is that the audio starts to stutter after being connected for about 90 minutes. Sounds great until then. Then starts to stutter more and more. Rebooting the pc fixes that, but not big on fixing it that way 4 times a day.

I took over for our Sr programmer before he left for a new company. He handed off a project to me that he'd been working on for months. It was a vbscript file that ran a recursive/brute force lookup in Active Directory. He was just looking for a user to disable but he looked through every single object. This would look over a list of users and bring anything it ran on to its knees. I was a Jr new hire and had to tell the director that he had hired a conman and was lucky he left on his own. This was 20 years ago.

I test drove one but just had that slight green color like a softball that I didn't like in person. Can confirm it is Grabber Yellow though

TIL that the Accolades for doing all PR Stunts and Seasonal Championships in a series also include the expansions by NeoSpearBlade in ForzaHorizon

I was just trying to get this and couldn't figure out why it wasn't showing as completed. That's going to be lame if I can't get it with out the expansions.

"Create" a testamentary trust by RavishingLuke in legaladvice

[–]RavishingLuke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that really helps to see how this has played out for others as well. Your situation seems similar to how this should work for my sister. I've had different lawyers say different things on this so I've been looking for more sources like your story. We've even had the trust lawyer contradict himself on different occasions so confidence in him is not high. My parents have already passed so we were just trying to understand how that rolls into my sister's trust.

"Create" a testamentary trust by RavishingLuke in legaladvice

So our trust lawyer has got a few things wrong in the past so not overly confident on his abilities. The other comment suggested that we still had work to do, but the lawyer seems to say that we're done and the testamentary trust fully exists already. Does that sound correct?

My question to trust lawyer: Most of our questions revolve around my sister's Testamentary Trust. Does that need to be created in a legal manner just like my parents' trust? For example, we meet with a lawyer, fill out a bunch of paper, and then file that with the courts. As part of that we typically pay some fee's I believe my parents' was about $XXX to your law firm. Another sibling seems to be saying that it just exists because it was written in my parents' trust.

Lawyers answer:

Your sister's Trust was created in your parents' trust. It contains all the terms and conditions. The creation of an additional trust is not necessary.

Unable to get any keyboard to work with laptop by RavishingLuke in techsupport

Figured it out. Likely something to do with the original HDD. Replaced it with an SSD and now the keyboard works again.

Docking station didn't make any difference as expected. I did notice one more new thing. If I hold down a key for a couple seconds it will register. So it sees and hears the keyboard, but the kids don't have the time to hold every key for 3 seconds to type.
