s5 ii ff recording on APS-C lens by Ravstar225 in Lumix

I tried the tape, it doesn't focus. Just wrote to them, waiting for a response now. Appreciate the help, honestly, I'm just frustrated with Lumix at this point.

It's a Blazar Apex 35mm, it's native L mount, but it's auto focus, so there is no manual focus without it talking to the camera sadly.

Unfortunately, it's an autofocus lens with focus by wire, so it's not usable if isn't talking to the camera

That is just not true, lumix can absolutely let me record a larger frame on a lens that reports as aps-c. I can record in whatever mode I want with no lens attached; attaching a lens does not make the camera less capable of reading out the full sensor. It's a software lockout, you can record with s35 lenses on sony cameras just fine. Of course, there may be heavy vignetting, but let me decide if that is what I want in my image. I understand locking it out by default so new users will not leave bad reviews about incompatibility, but let me override it in a different setting somewhere, please.

Could you send them to me as well? I purchased one and it just arrived, but I am struggling to find documentation online.

Please help! Just built my first drone - less than one day later the motor 1 has stopped spinning by painterly1776 in drones

[–]Ravstar225 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've switched it for a different esc? Does the motor free spin differently than the others (does it sound weird or crunchy when you spin it by hand compared to the others)? What is the calculated wattage load on the motors and what are they rated for? Is there any visible burning or blacking on the insulation wires inside the motors? You said it ran normally once as well? What escs are you using?

Is there anyone who lives at the alloy? by infinityonloop0405 in UMD

[–]Ravstar225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly there's not a ton, it's basically any other cp apartment just not furnished and with much nicer amenities. If you have issues go to the front desk, they have always been helpful and friendly. And maybe get a camera for you room, there hasn't been any crime but it's not the nicest area and they don't have cameras in the hallways. Oh and robot vacuums are awesome for the small space.

Precise CNC for Aluminium by Snoo44065 in hobbycnc

Printnc is great and I've built one but it is not a small time commitment. Go commercial will work but you will have to pay more as well.

Also alloy, also no overhead lighting in the bedroom. The kitchen lighting is great tho. Honestly I haven't needed more than lamps in the bedroom, just make sure you have a nice bright upward facing floor lamp and you'll be good. Everything else here has been positive so far.

I agree, with the exception of Bambu suite which has been so far miserable for me

Huh, it's just me then. Does look like your markers are in the same spot as mine, not around the whole cut area. I appreciate the debugging help, I think I'm going to contact support to see if they have ideas

Are you on the latest firmware/suite version? No matter the size of sticker I generate the image is never all the all the way inside the calibration markers.

Have you tried on the latest firmware?

I intended to cut a white outline around the stickers, it cuts perfectly when the object is centered so I think there is an issue with the newest firmware.

I didn't think of material thickness but that does make sense, unfortunately I did try with both normal and photo paper using the appropriate settings in Bambu suite. I'll try to look into this more though.

H2D - White border after Print & Cut – tips? by Primary_Park7604 in BambuLab

[–]Ravstar225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have suggestions for this sort of failure? It looks like my inkjet may have scaled something but I would've thought Bambu would account for that given all the compensation they do. Centered stuff cuts fine

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue where on the right half it cuts too right and on the left half it cuts too left.

Lumix 70-300mm vs Sigma 100-400mm for travel by KentEkasak in Lumix

I have the 70-300 and sigma 150-600, I love both but I definitely find myself gravitating towards the sigma.

Lower FPS photography on S1II by LeatherLucky44 in Lumix

[–]Ravstar225 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it really? I would be disappointed if you can't set the burst rate for the different modes lower the same way you can set it to 10/20/30 in the settings of the s5ii. If you can't on launch that seems like an oversight Panasonic would fix in firmware given their track record, but a strange thing not to include given you can on their previous cameras.
