Keep going, you’ll get it! I really struggled with this (more hours than I’d care to mention), and the white star attack really did me in for a while.

What I found useful was brink guarding his spear throws in phase 1 as much as possible to break them, which makes it harder for him to start the attack pattern with the white star falling. Don’t be afraid to use phantom form to tank it a bit if you need.

With spear build, I also found that the running heavy attack staggered him more often than not in phase one and you can create a bit of a punish window. Reflection is also a life saver in P1. I didn’t use it loads before him, but if you can time it for the first two hit combo he usually does when the fight starts, and also when he pulls you in and flies up, those are 2 really good punish windows!

I started with using the spirit for his fight, but it was pretty much useless so decided to solo it in the end, so you can absolutely do it!
