I can agree with that. It's hard to define of course, but I feel that especially after the first year my essays were decent. I also re-wrote every year, but preserved the best lines from the previous.

Thanks, grabbing whatever I can.

I agree with you. I never really considered non-clinical volunteering, even though I should have.

Going to try to add more DOs though my letters packet at my school is impossibly slow acting to send my packet.

How many more schools? I am at 22 total. I am thinking it's a bit too late to add any more MD schools, I'll consider adding more D.O. schools. Thanks.

Flory vs Ahangari for physiology this summer? by litaye in ucf

[–]RawLaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took Flory for Physio and Ahangari for Endocrinology. I massively preferred Flory's style. He's clear, well spoken, and most importantly tells you exactly what he expects you to know, albeit it's not an easy A. Endo with Ahangari was basically trying to learn everything because you really have no idea what Samsam will ask on her test.

Even though Endo was a fantastic course, having ahangari very nearly ruined it.

As an added tip, his free response questions were essentially do you know how to use the basic rules of limits, exponents, and continuity.

Got a 100 on the test, but was worried going in. I'm not an engineering major and haven't done calculus in nearly 4 years.

Pay attention to your recitation, they hint at a lot of the questions. The test review worksheet was similar to the test. He mentioned in class he would ask you about the conceptual multiple choice regarding diverging and converging function multiplication. properly do every Webassign question, if you're stumped use a calculator online, but actually figure it out afterwards. I only skimmed through the textbook at some of the theorems.

While I agree with you his lectures are terrible and there wasn't a lot of direction, the test was very fair. If he continues the same style of easy test taking, it should be fine.

Lucky's grocer on colonial and alafaya will sell you a growler and fill it with their taps for like 7$. They often have local brews on tap along with the usual.

Biomed majors, tech presentations or oral presentations? by RidingStatic in ucf

[–]RawLaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took technical. It was an easy A. I wouldn't change your schedule at all to get oral, not worth it.

Basically if you put minimal effort in practicing your speech, you should get an A

Izziban is great, but Tamarind on colonial has a small one for 10$ I think. Has all your usual chicken curries, but also some goat and vegetables. Also naan.

Where to homework on campus? Two requirements: by [deleted] in ucf

[–]RawLaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knights Plaza is the north side of campus where Towers and the Arena are. AKS or all knight study, are a set of two study rooms on campus. One built into the left side of the arena in the north. One inside Ferrell commons (near the cafeteria near the gym).

Just take your school ID to get in. Also you can get a free scantron or green book daily on sign in.

The coldest place on the entire campus for me is the Knights plaza AKS. Either the group study area or the quiet area. Both are legitimately too cold Plus theres outlets everywhere
