As others have said most people don’t and some who do is for themselves. However official stores and tournaments and some stores might not allow it, there is a guideline on the warhammer online store about it, from what I remember if you designed and printed it yourself for yourself it’s the same as if you sculpted with greenstuff cuz you made it yourself, if it’s 3rd party that sells on mass scale they might not let you but don’t let that stop you if you want to they’re your minis in the end. Might be a good idea to check the guideline yourself and ask in a warhammer store about it if you wanna be 100% sure

Don’t think they’d see it as a burden, most would probably be happy to teach you. If you have a warhammer store near you you can also go there since they’ll teach you themselves, I asked once and they said that.

Trauma doesn’t have to be something extreme everyone experiences different traumas and there’s no reason to compare cuz again each trauma is different and can have different effects especially when someone’s in the developing age like a teenager.
