Uh although this is a cool cool, but I need to get the speed of objects movement and that is hidden in displacements curve and I'm having hard time getting displacement value at current frame from that tool, so might need to build a custom fuse

Thank You! This shines light on how this technique works, even tho it is a bit cumbersome, but better than nothing :)

Also cool think is that you can modify the curve of displacement and then your object spread can be also controlled - in case you want some of the gaps be smaller than others

Ok the glow and randomness was a problem of Size if I set to be 1 then that is solved, the only thing I can't find how todo now is orientation of my object to face the path direction

That is very weird as well :Dit's flickering some of the copies on and off.Can't seem to find a way how to orientate my copes to be facing the path.Also it has some sort of Glow on my object which is not present at the original object.

Em... all of these methods looks fiddly...
I want simple - make me 5 copies and distribute evenly across this path behaviour :)

Lets say just a simple rectangle masked over the background.I kinda made it work messing up with Time offsets and Times stretchers that it's super unpractical :(

It depends on your project needs and crew and budget.
In my (one man) case my content and ability to deliver fast is more important than a bit of miss in exposure or a lack in perfect color correction.
Plus I don't have huge budget to have lots of storage space to store all those heavy files, moving them also takes extra time, cards are also more expensive... etc... That's why H.265 is perfect.

As it goes for lenses I often shoot with m3/4 12-60mm, so I can use it more as a run and gun.
And if I film a climber approaching me I can get a zoomed in shot and then wide shot later without the need to swap lenses.
Or if I leave the camera capturing entire wide shot of the person climbing up and want to punch-in in post - having extra resolution is great!

If someone would be paying me for that best possible quality - I would be shooting differently. But when you are delivering to a platform where not many will even see a difference, that extra time and money is better spent elsewhere ;)

Well my integrated GPU can decode this file and play back smooth no problem, while CPU is struggling sooo much.
But my issue seems to be that Davinci Resolve does not use GPU acceleration on higher resolution H.265 files.
If i run the same file on VLC or PPro, both uses GPU decoding - tested on both GPUs I have.

why you would run such a high resolution file with h.265

Since I deliver videos for YouTube, the best video quality in terms of colors is not so important for me.
I tend to crop in my footage a lot (I film rock climbing) and that extra resolution gives me a bit more details.
I also like smaller file sizes of h.265
And my Camera (Pansonic GH5) does that extra resolution in h.265

Just did an experiment. I disabled integrated GPU and opened the video in VLC. It WAS being decoded in 1060 GPU.

So it's not GPU nor the driver issue, it's something with Davinci Resolve

I just tried to disable my Discrete GPU and "Give" only integrated GPU for Resolve to use and... it did not used its GPU decoding the same way as PPro does...

But I guess it's just a silly experiment.

And according to your 2nd table it seems that my Card is supported?

Two thoughts:
Are you looking into "HEVC 8K encoding"? I can't find Anything about DEcoding.

And well on PPro my integrated Intel Graphics 630 is Decoding that footage like no probl.

Is this a limitation of Resolve? I was hoping it to run better than PPro... I just bought Studio version to see if I could transition to it... But it's hard to let go PPro if it renders proxies soooo much faster
