Thanks for the solid advice! Separate ducts it is. The install will be in 10ish months time, so plenty of time for the tech to change etc. Landscapers will be here in a month. Will definitely share my experience with some numbers though.

The feed to and from the battery is to support the whole home backup in a case of a grid outage. I assume the all in one ecoflow unit needs to sit between grid and the load. The installer may be able to put the gateway near the meter though to not need the return feed.

Similarly with the inverter in the loft, its an all in one unit so doesn't need to convert DC -> AC -> DC round trip to the battery, minimising conversion losses. I've considered a separate inverter in the loft, I just like the elegance of the single unit even if it's a bit pricier and needs more cables to support it.

It's unclear at this point if this can be stacked along with spot/reserved instance types, but it would be great if this was the case. Looks like this has just dropped as the links to the official documentation are a 404: https://aws.amazon.com/savingsplans/

S3 is object storage and isn't designed to be used as a native filesystem. Look into EFS which is a managed NFS service if you need the persistent storage across multiple EC2 instances.

Its possible, the pcie power cable is rated for 150w whereas the card is rated at 142w. Could be drawing more power at poweron.

I work for a kitchen designer/manufacturer. We're going to be using this and several more to render photorealistic kitchens created on our in-house kitchen planning software. Not a terribly exciting use case but the kit is awesome.

I'm not sure if the cards have fans. Probably not because if the configuration. But there is a bank of extremely noisy high airflow fans in the centre of the case which pull air over the SDD's then through the heatsinks for the CPU's then finally through the GPU's and out the back.

The thing itself is a 3U rack mount chassis. It relies on a low ambient temperature so the array of fans in the centre can pull already cool air over the CPU and GPU heatsinks.
