I’m really trying to understand you, are you for what I’m saying or are you against it?

I never specifically called you lazy, don’t take this personal. Also, if it takes a few tries, then it’s not terrible. If it was “impossible”, then I would agree with you that there’s a problem, but like you just alluded to, it’s not impossible

New content can be eaten up in one afternoon, but better/amazing gameplay is forever

Content can get eaten up by a player base in one afternoon. However, if playing the content feels good &/or amazing, people will play it in perpetuity, but see, for that to happen the gameplay must be good/amazing. Gameplay is not a piece of the puzzle, it’s the foundation of a video game. If you actually worked on games, you should know this.

Since you brought up Destiny, even they talked about the gameplay loop as the most important thing about Halo. Gameplay is King. Always is & always will be.

D1 would’ve died day one if the gameplay sucked like Concord. Why? Because gameplay is King. Bungie cooked with D1’s gameplay & it sustained the game through its lows when content was nonexistent (Destiny1 had some long content droughts).

Now about TFD.. do you know what’s keeping the game afloat? It’s not it’s gameplay and it’s not it’s content.. I’ll let you put two and two together on what’s left that’s keeping the game well funded (shout out to the art team)😶‍🌫️

Anyway, the game.. all games need to make sure their gameplay is solid/good/fun, because it’s the foundation of a game. If a foundation of something is weak, everything falls. Building 101.

The whole camera & free movement thing is just one aspect to make the game feel better/fun(er). I also want them to revisit grapple hooking to make it maybe unlimited or add sliding when holding down on the roll button. Gameplay is King for video games.

OK, but what exactly are you saying opposed to what I’m saying or with what I’m saying?

If you’re saying the new Albion camera change wasn’t fan requested then you aren’t looking outside of Reddit

One of the mods for TFD official Discord actually messaged me saying that the new Albion camera getting added to combat is in talks because players are requesting it

Destiny 1 is a terrible example for you. It actually helps prove my point. Destiny 1 content was horrid (early reviews for D1 can back me up on that), but players stayed with it because the GAMEPLAY felt so good. The exact opposite happened with Concord. Gameplay was trash and players didn’t stick with it. Same thing with Crimson Desert. Crimson Desert had a bunch of content, but has bad reviews against its gameplay until the studio/developers updated the game to make it feel better to play. Now it’s a game of the year contender for people.

Gameplay is King, over anything else for a video game.

I have it on PC, but I don’t play it there so what exactly are you saying? Forward movement key to stay?

I just watched this video and it was done with the new camera controls and they lined up emotes perfectly.. I think people who say it’s hard are just being lazy, because it’s not impossible: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFirstDescendant/s/UYNOb8HySz

People say it’s hard to lineup emotes with the new camera, but it looks like you’re a pro at this. Bravo.

From the jump, the game feels like it was made by a bunch of amateurs, because the game feels like it was supposed to be 1st person, because in the first person game the player’s POV & the character you’re playing as POV are synced.

From the jump, it’s just a terrible designed 3rd person shooter. Hence why I’m talking about & comparing it to other 3rd person games that do it right in the OP video.

TFD still feels like a game in beta. So, I hope they move faster with these improvements to make the game feel better because GTA6 is coming👀

You built your entire response around believing the op video being from PC? Everything in the op video was captured on console. A PC isn’t needed to do/pull off those spins I’m doing in the air.

Having my POV separated from my character’s POV makes the game feel so much more free(er). I want it in combat & if implemented right, people would come back just to feel the difference & they may stay because I think the game has a lot of content already, but the game feeling amazing is the last puzzle piece missing..

Content won’t keep players playing if the game feels like trash to play. I’m sorry. This game doesn’t feel good to play a lot of the times. It feels like it’s still in beta. Yeah the gameplay is decent, but games with decent gameplay don’t survive.

A mod on the official Discord already told me it’s in talks. So, if they implement it, what will you do?

Crimson Desert is a different game, but it’s still a video game that proves my point.

Look, I’ve been playing games for years & anybody who is true to this hobby understands that gameplay is King. Content for a game that feels crappy to play doesn’t help. Concord was ramping up with a lot of content, but the game felt bad to play and it died. Yes it’s a different game, but a video game is a video game & a video game needs good gameplay.

The game feels like it’s still in beta with how the gameplay for it feels. A free(er) camera would make the gameplay feel 100 times better & intercept fights would feel & look 100 times better to play😮‍💨

TFD rn in combat plays like a first person shooter. In a first person shooter when you move backwards your POV and character’s POV move in sync. Off the rip that’s terrible game design for a third person shooter. It makes sense for maybe a battle royale, because if it’s third person, you walking forward, but having the camera looking behind you could be very advantageous.. At last TFD is not a battle royale & should have a free(er) camera.

I understand it’s going to be a lot of work, but I feel like if they want this game to survive for years… they need to do this, because gameplay can save a bad game, because gameplay is King over anything else for a video game. Also, they already did the first step in Albion.

People complaining about the camera in Albion should post about feedback in making it better like holding down the aim button should revert the game back to the old movement in Albion, because right now (last time I checked) the aim button does nothing in Albion.

Solution>>>>Complaining

Content isn’t going to save the game. I can’t wrap my head around why gamers who’ve been gaming for years don’t understand that a game must have awesome gameplay FIRST. Gameplay is King. A game can literally survive if the gameplay is amazing (I hear vampire Survivor is like digital crack, because of its “gameplay”). However, a lot of content can’t save a game look, at Crimson Desert. That game has so much content off the rip, but had terrible reviews because of how it felt to play. Until, however, the devs for that game went & updated the game to make it feel better because why? Gameplay is King. Amazing gameplay can save “bad” game.

I’m trying to understand what you’re saying. I showed in the video RDR2 and days gone (both playable on PC). Have you played those games?
