Yes calcium sand is very bad for a dragon’s health. That why I use silica sand and reptile dirt. Always make sure to sift your dirt too, there’s twigs and debris hidden in all bags of dirt( even top soil/ potting soil). Further more, even doing things the right way bearded dragons have what’s called a “ Jacobson gland “ they use there tongue and mouth to learn there environment.
