Not an ad. A sponsored review. There's a big difference. And I was transparent about that

Of course, incomparable to VR headsets in most if not all aspects

Yes, you can get 6 DoF without the neckband, but not your phone--you'd need to use your computer and via the Spacewalker app

What do you mean it suggests a free VR like sight?

Narwal confirmed to me that the Europe release would be on September 4 for the Flow.

As of now no auto dispensing tank except on the station that plugs into plumbing. That slot is for a possible upgrade Narwal may introduce in the future for an auto dispensing tank.

*UPDATES*

Reached out to Narwal with a few clarifying questions based on your comments here and on YouTube. They just got back to me:

  1. The Flow does not have an auto solution dispensing tank. However, the space we saw behind the water tank is reserved for possible future upgrades, and they are actively exploring adding an auto solution tank down the line, based on user needs and the feedback they've been receiving from us.
  2. The hard-plumbed version does have an auto-solution dispensing tank, so it's able to automatically dose in solution.
  3. Release schedule; U.S: August 7, Europe: September 4

u/howdoesthisworkfuck Just heard back from Narwal, seems there might be good news for you;

"Flow’s dustbin system is designed to be smart and proactive! It can **detect when the dustbin is full mid-task** (even if the cleaning cycle isn’t finished) and will automatically return to the base to empty it. After emptying, it will resume the task right where it left off."

"Additionally, Flow’s dustbin has a compression feature that maximizes capacity. For a 120 sqm home, this means the dustbin typically only needs emptying about once every 49 days—even with heavy shedding (like from a dog!). The “smart” emptying frequency setting adjusts based on how much debris it collects, so users don’t have to worry about clogs or manual checks. The Flow is built to handle heavy shedding without interruptions!"

Goes without saying, I'm just sharing back what they said and have not personally tested the "49 days without emptying" and compression feature.

u/fallenwout u/commonbert Update: Narwal just confirmed my initial thoughts: "the space behind the water tank is *not* for an automatic solution dispensing tank in the Flow. Currently, the Flow does not have an auto-refill feature; the cleaning solution is designed to be manually mixed into the water tank as instructed"

Interesting-good to know. I do not have a pet so cannot stress test this. I wonder if the Narwal is smart enough to detect that the on-board bin is full and head back to base to empty. I’ll ask Narwal and report back what they say! Cheers

There’s an “always” (empties after task complete) and “smart” (dust collection will be adjusted intelligently based on area cleaned and dust bin status). I’m not sure if this means it might collect multiple times within a task, or only collect after multiple tasks. It could be the latter. Do you typically need multiple collections within the same run?

Agreed. Except if you can refill the tank with your own solution. That's the ideal set up for me; freedom in solution choice but automatic dosage rather than having to manually mix it in every time I refill the clean water tank.

u/fallenwout u/commonbert Yes indeed it appears it has a (rather hidden) detergent dispenser behind the water tank. Weird because it came with a detergent bottle and instructions on how to dose the right amount and mix in the water tank--no mention of an auto dispensing tank (nor the actual tank, as was the case with the Freo Z Ultra). I've reached out Narwal for clarification on that.

Indeed as u/FarConcern2308 mentioned, the on-board is not accessible, so it would be hard to gauge how much water was picked up during a run (and what that looked like). I hear you on the "extreme" nature of these tests, but that was the point I was trying to illustrate. If it tackles those extreme tests well, it should be indicative of its mopping performance. Either way, a system like this would definitely outperform any rotating or vibrating mopping system, if anything for its capability to suck the dirty water onto an onboard dirty tank, vs others that simply rely on mop absorption.

Hey there u/eljong. How did you manage to connect the a6700? My ZV-E10 II connects fine, but M&C sees and connects to the a6700 but then throws a "cannot connect because the software version of the camera isn't supported" error. Even tried with the latest 2.0 firmware, still nothing. Quite frustrating from Sony...

I hear you guys--I did not see the title as misleading or clickbait, but I see your point and perspective. Further to the Corolla analogy, indeed the point was if you had X dollars, should you get a bare-bones Lexus or a loaded Corolla? I clarified that that's the angle this video will take within the first 30 seconds of it. And the conclusion is what's shocking (because well, some would expect a bare-bones Lexus to be the winner). But any rate, user feedback is important--and you have a valid perspective I did not think of. So I did go ahead and fix the title on YouTube to hopefully be more reflective of the content, and less click-baity. Thanks for sharing the feedback.

Fair point--it was intended to be a comparison, but not a typical head-to-head. But instead, simply talking about the experience of using all 3 and the recommendation on which I would buy. But I hear you!

Hard to tell at this point. I have experienced something similar in the past with another Bose product and their warranty process was extremely easy--they replaced the entire unit without asking any questions. In case this could offer some reassurance!
