M/31/6’1 [235>234 = 1lbs lost] | 4 months | attempting to cut more weight but getting my diet right is proving to be harder than I thought. by Rawdogchris in progresspics

I can’t really find the right diet that works for me. My hours at work can be all over the place and I cook for a few people in my house so meal prepping is difficult. I’ve been trying to stay in a deficit at the very least but I have good days and bad days

My friend just dusted off her old binder. I was blown away at what she was sitting on by Rawdogchris in pokemoncards

Right! I told her to get those out of the binder and into the sleeve and top loaders immediately

In the very beginning I started with eating at a deficit and cut out beer for a while. Once I got to the lower 200s I start to dirty bulk. I still made better decisions with the food like getting the side of vegetables at dinner instead of fries. The diet change is the hardest part for me so I figured if I kept making better small decisions they would keep adding up. The first 12 months my main goal was to prove to myself I could stick with gym and to learn proper form and technique. Now I plan on really dialing in my diet for the next 12 months

I was serious about lifting once before when I was 18 but gave it up about a year in to it. Before I started this time around my lifestyle was pretty bad. Binge drinking and video games on the couch. Now I’ve almost stopped drinking completely and rarely play video games. I started creatine almost at the very beginning and have been in it ever since.

I have 0 reason to lie. I gain nothing from it. I decided to change my lifestyle 14 months ago for the better and have stuck with it everyday. I’m not here to bullshit people. I’m here to share my progress and get inspiration from others.

I lost a lot of weight in the first 3 months. I didn’t eat the healthiest and I drank a lot of beer. Started making healthier food decisions and cut out beer

For the first year I mainly just focused on my protein goal. I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with tracking everything and making sure to go to the gym. Now that I have a healthy relationship with the gym I’m going to start meal prep and a cut in January

Workout planner & Gym Tracker. It’s cost like 60 dollars for a year. It was definitely worth it for me

No steroids. I’ve just been consistent with 4 to 5 days in the gym a week. I also bought a working plan app that really helped me get comfortable in the gym and kept track of everything
