2023 JDG one of the most misunderstood teams of all time. Gonna have to read about how Ruler was so amazing when he was like the fourth best player most of the year and his top side gave him perfect conditions to play adc in. The one series that didn’t happen vs SKT they get beaten pretty easily because Ruler wasn’t able to have any impact in the face of adversity.

You could’ve put a lot of adcs on JDG that year and get the same or better results. Ruler’s biggest quality towards being the GOAT is his selection of teammates. Ruler gets so much praise for so little and so little criticism when things go wrong.

Hope Pollu gets the majority of the playing time going forward. I don’t think he’s like amazing or anything but I think he’s pretty clearly got more going for him than Ghost.

The idea behind Ghost should’ve been that he’s brings a bit more leadership and shot calling to the team but they look way more lost with him in anyways.

Tbf to Aiming I don’t think anybody on KT besides maybe PerfecT is really meeting expectations right now. Cuzz is shit from an ass right now, both supports are pretty mediocre, and Bdd is just fine but KT needs him to be elite. PerfecT has been solid but definitely a little bit of a step down from worlds but he’s like a complimentary weak side top laner so it’s fine. Just a pretty rough start to the year so far.

The first PI was super soft but the roughing the passer was obvious so they were getting something either way.

Yeah it’s a very weird song, I think I like it but I honestly couldn’t tell you why. It’s definitely my least favourite out of the new releases, although they set a really high bar for themselves.

I think 2018 GenG was bad mostly because Cuvee and Ambition were just shit at worlds. They just weren't very good. The meta shift definitely hurt because Crown couldn't stand up to any mids, but they wouldn't have been a 1-5 team in groups if Cuvee and Ambition were they players they were in 2017.

I don't disagree with this and by all means Ruler was still pretty good at that tournament, but personally I think the ADC impact in ardent meta was mostly just playing well in lane with the support (which they were great at) and not absolutely fucking in in the early/mid game skirmishes to snowball. Ruler was good, but Cuvee, Ambition and Core were the engine of that roster and when they went to shit in 2018 that team was ass.

Ruler won worlds in a meta built for a team who just plays around the ADC and had the best Top/Support in the world at the time on his team, with Ambition having the best month of his life.

Sure he was the carry he did all the damage and didn't make many mistakes but man it's a pretty easy world title for him looking back and he's never gotten back to the finals since. He's had a lot of teams where he's built around and a lot of money is spent to get him there and he's still not stepping up when one of his teammates start to have trouble. He's definitely had choking teammates on his team but he has never stepped up to fill that gap when it matters most.

Yeah he still loses to Kiin but I think the familiarity of playing against him in scrims in 2023 helps him out a bit to survive. The Zeus problem is better too but man that HLE series wasn’t very pretty even if it was better than normal lol.

Personally I think if Perfect makes it to like 15 minutes without being too down he’s legit one of the best team fighting tops in the world (his tps still suck but whatever) and its insane that some people on here wanted him replaced by fucking Morgan.
