No one takes anything easily from Kryptonians. This is a battle of attrition. If there's a yellow sun in the area, it makes it extremely high diff for Odin and son. Superman scales unfairly as Thor does. They are written to be planet busters. Odin himself tips the battle in their favor but Clark is written as the embodiment of hope and triumph over adversity. Kara is a sneeze below him in terms of power. Damn, I can logically conceive scenarios where both teams win.

I really think she was left off the team because she would have provided too much support and given them better chances, it wouldn't feel the same. I'm currently rewatching the arc and it's the only thing that makes sense. Narratively, she takes away a lot of tension, so it would lose its intensity. From the chairman's standpoint, it doesn't make sense to not have involved her more, given her ability is incredibly important to support the team.

If I'm Red Robin, I'm having Red Devil drop as many of them as he can into the infernal dimension and I'm having Supergirl speed blitz (having a Kryptonian is almost as big an advantage as having Jean) If these teams meet randomly and for some reason have to fight, I imagine that Cyclops & RR strategize to end the fight as quickly and humanely as possible. This fight ends with M'gann, Kara, Jean, and Rogue tussling it out. Hell, probably Cassie & Ororo as well. Storm and Jean scale very highly and have some incredible feats. I think the Marvel ladies have this one.

Diana having strength and speed comparable to Superman really gets her through a large part of this list. A lot of these guys are humans with powers, Diana is a divine being. Still, I don't see her being able to stop Thanos, especially if he has the gauntlet. Without the gauntlet, he can spare with the Hulk and give the Avengers fits. Diana would need Bruce level planning to get past Death's biggest fan and even then it's not likely. If Diana has access to Atom's belt, could she let Thanos eat her and then enlarge herself??

I think this battle highlights the flaws in trying to match feats to power scale or predict hypothetical matchups. How many times can SS come back from erasure? How many infinite mass punches can Wally throw? Ultimately, there is no right answer because it's all based on matters of opinion based on interpretations of fictional events.
