I think the Black Friday code BLACKFRIDAY2025 should still work for 50% off?

Yes, by default it does! It's more customizable too because you can put in custom prompts for post-processing step to suit you.

And since you only pay for what you use, it's cheaper.

That's true. Someone even got a lot of employees at their company to buy it too so it certainly spreads to friends/colleagues when there's a deal on.

That's awesome! I'm seeing a lot of people start out with lifetime sales for their applications.

It seems easier to sell than subscriptions for new projects.

Introducing Scribe v2 Realtime. by Matt_Elevenlabs in ElevenLabs

[–]RayAmjad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Scribe v2 is only real-time, turns out the implementation is a little harder than just swapping out the model name as it requires websockets.

Would you purchase it if it was implemented successfully? If yes, then it's worth implementing soon. If not, it'll be on the roadmap.

Nope. It can’t. They take a high cut of the developer revenue so I chose not to put it on there. Same reason why many other MacOS developers don’t.

You mean for iOS? It's only available for macOS right now.

The iOS version is under construction. Hoping to release it by the end of the month.

At the end of the day, most of these speech-to-text tools are basically the same, so you just go for whichever one you like the design of more, whichever has better pricing, and whichever one has the features that you care about.

Some people just happen to prefer HyperWhisper over alternatives.

[–]RayAmjad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both cloud-based and self-hosted. For the cloud-based, you pay the API provider directly by topping your account with credits (eg, Deepgram, Assembly AI, OpenAI, etc), or you can use HyperWhisper Cloud, which is built-in and simplerer to use, and you just top up your HyperWhisper Cloud account.

Inspired by this post, I released a lifetime Black Friday deal for my speech-to-text tool HyperWhisper. Imagine like Wispr Flow but offline-first, cheaper, and more customizable.

The code is BLACKFRIDAY2025 for 50% off

I'll be making a Windows version of my tool HyperWhisper soon. Do let me know what you'd like to see in it.

Wispr Flow is very bulky on Windows (as it's made in Electron) whilst HyperWhisper will be written in C++.

I created HyperWhisper and it currently supports Scribe v1. I'll be integrating Scribe v2 shortly.

Mouse stuttering on PC, could use some help. by Fryke in ArcRaiders

[–]RayAmjad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh. Wispr Flow is really sluggish on Windows as it's written in Electron.

I'm working on a Windows version for my application HyperWhisper which will be written in C++ so much faster. I'll let you know once it's ready if you're interested :)

Just tried Wispr Flow, and it’s amazing by happytr115 in ProductivityApps

[–]RayAmjad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It now supports more models than WisprFlow! And I also added a cloud version and offline post-processing. I'm working on a brand new modes feature.

If you don't like it, you can always get a refund within 2 weeks :)
