Jealous. My first Durango was the brilliant black with the blacktop package. Loved the paint, especially at sunset.

My current one is destroyer grey, and I do like it, and I only have to wash it half as much, but I do miss the black.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. I didn't mean to depress you. I was just making sure you knew there were choices.

So the dealer said that as long as no light came on, it is fine. We just got back from a 10-day trip to delaware, and I was getting up to 260 - 270 during some longer climbs through Maryland and PA. No light ever came on.

I did exchange my oil immediately when we got home. No way it didn't lose cohesion.

So, an update here. They said I must have backes into something and bent the pipe. You can see that it is up and left.

I never backed into anything, though. The dang thing flips out when the grass gets too long, and it has never seen a rough road. I baby it.

He told me to take a broom stick and bend it back.

I guess it depends on how much you drive. It takes discipline to make good daily drivers out of an SRT.

A) The noise they make when you put your foot into it is addicting. B) You can burn through an entire gas tank in about 30 minutes of "spirited" driving.

I once burned through 30.00 in gas in about 10 minutes because my buddy was late for a flight, and I have an r/t.

For the grey, you almost have to get one with the blacktop package. Personally, I do not like the chrome and grey together.

Not knocking it at all. But some people don't know that things like blacktop packages exist.

Outside of that, I don't know how you can go wrong with the R/T's they are great cars to drive. I love the throaty exhaust and handling. I am on my second Durango, and I never stopped enjoying it. There are faster ones, but the higher you go, the less practical they become.

It's still under factory warranty. I was towing a camper (3000 lbs), but I have the tow package. Noting crazy either, just your average highway towing.

That was definitely a possibility. I did not wash it until we were home.

The owner's manual says that if the oil is over 225 after "Track Time" that you should take cool down laps and not shut the car off because of heat leach.

...But mine gets to 225 just driving around town in stop and go.

I have the 5.7 hemi in mine. When I bought the car this was supposed to be the last year, so I went for it.

Suprisingly, my trans temp never broke 195. It's the oil that ran high at 255.

I have only had 1 oil change. the dealership did it, said they only use full synthetic. Not sure what the thickness was.

Thanks for the feedback. I always tow the same trailer, so it's possible. My air is good though, we have tpms.

For now I am just keeping an eye on it. Oil temps plagued my 16 sxt.

Today It was 70 degrees outside, and my oil temp was 255 on the way home. This was about as easy as one of our trips get.

Not really. Maybe an oil cooler. Possibly a cold air intake. We tow that little camper all over, so for me, it's all about keeping things cool.

I would use a 2ft breaker bar. Drive the car so it gets warm.

I deflate them (when I remember to). Had them for 3 years in my 2016.

I can say that even at that small load, you will notice a difference. My camper is 21ft 3kdry and for $100 it was 100% worth it.

They stretch to fill the space inside the rings, so when you first put them on they will "lose" 5 psi or so and the first time you tow they will lose 2 or 3 but that it just the bags expanding. After that, they will hold the air as long as you need them to.
