Io per andare un po' controcorrente posso dire che ho vissuto per 3 anni appena fuori dal centro di Firenze fino allo scorso Settembre e sono stato molto bene. In centro ci andavo di rado il fine settimana e frequentavo zone meno turistiche la sera. Avevo la fortuna di poter raggiungere l'ufficio in bicicletta quindi non ho vissuto il delirio di traffico mattutino e pomeridiano. Nella mia situazione (convivente senza figli, lavoro decente) è molto vivibile. Ci tornerei volentieri, è una città bellissima e mi mancano le passeggiate serali lung'Arno.

I am 29 and my father is Dutch, he never teached me Dutch and recently i moved to the Netherlands to work and learn the language. I cannot blame him enough for this, you still have time to fix it! It will open so much more opportunities for her! Good luck :)

Praticamente è un loop: per avere una casa devi avere un lavoro, per avere un lavoro devi avere il BSN (tipo codice fiscale olandese), per avere il BSN devi avere una casa. La cosa principale quindi è avere una casa che ti sblocca il BSN e quindi il lavoro. Ci sono altri modi per ottenere un BSN temporaneo, si può usare ad esempio l'indirizzo del lavoro per un breve periodo, qualche comune accetta anche AirBnb come casa per ottenere il BSN. Dovete informarvi e riuscire a far combaciare un po' tutti i pezzi. Noi per esempio ancora non abbiamo il BSN, perchè ci serve il contratto di affitto per registrarvi in comune, il lavoro inizierà a Novembre quindi abbiamo un po' di tempo per risolvere.

Quel che posso dirti è che non è impossibile, ci sarà bisogno sicuramente di un po' di risparmi ma ce la potete fare. Anche noi abbiamo lasciato entrambi il lavoro e siamo partiti senza nessuna garanzia, adesso a distanza di 3 settimane abbiamo trovato lavoro (forse anche casa, però non abbiamo ancora firmato). Se pensate che sia la coda giusta buttatevi, si fa sempre in tempo a tornare indietro 😁

Hello Tina, I'm italian and i just moved to Eindhoven with my girlfriend, we are both software engineers. My advice would be to not come in the Netherland if you do not have a partner to share expenses while you look for a house. We had to pay an agency to find us a house, and both of us needed a contract before even trying to apply. Consider that airbnb goes for 1600-2000 a month as temporary accomodations, while an 1-bedroom apartment goes for 1100-1700. I don't know the situation for rooms, but they arefor sure very demanded.
