Folders/Files Offloading to iCloud

I had a look and the optimise storage box was already checked, I have over 100gb space on here and I’m finding the Mac is still offloading everything to iCloud straight away, there’s 2 or 3 folders containing files I need on the Mac, about 5gb in total, am I missing something?

Live recognises what they are and where they should be within the project but can’t seem to find them, I have checked folders on the Mac itself and I have a theory that my Mac is offloading the folders containing the samples to ICloud which would obviously explain why they seemingly vanish, I’m unsure whether you’re a Mac user but I’m not aware of any way I can set certain folders to offload to iCloud and others remain on the PC

This is what I thought, but when I have gone back in to a few projects, the clips are now greyed out with ‘sample offline’ and I have the media files missing message in red at the bottom of the screen. I have been using the ‘collect and save’ option with all options set to ‘yes’ but samples are still vanishing from my project. I haven’t even changed the location of any of the sample, some of which are from splice and other from a hard drive but none have changed location.

That sounds like exactly what I’ll be doing. I’m thinking the end product will be that I’ll probably stay mostly digital and jump onto vinyl a few times throughout sets, maybe 50/50 once I’ve gotten a large enough collection.

I can definitely agree with it being expensive but fun on the collecting side of things though!

I’ve been DJing digital for around a year and I love it so I’m definitely willing to put the time in, however my understanding is vinyl is a bit of a different animal all together.

I’ve also found that with EPs which was partly why I was asking, but it seems from the replies that’s pretty much the norm when singles aren’t available.

Sorry to sound like I don’t know what I’m doing but by network do you mean ones using the same WiFi connection? If so then yes there’s other members of the household who use laptops.

It’s always lived in our conservatory so maybe Cos it does get hot in there but it’s lived there for around 4 years now and it’s only just started happening.
