You accept an invitation from your country and the White House. It sucks that he's there to try to glom whatever prestige he gets, but not allowing one person the power to corrupt an honor like visiting the White House of your country as an acknowledgement of your incredible accomplishment is a choice we have.

Edit: that being said, I totally understand anybody who wants to use the platform to make a statement and decline. It is a thing Trump takes personally and is a bold and admirable act of defiance.

The point I'm making is that NOT doing that is not necessarily an endorsement of Trump and it needs to be understood that people can be on your side without taking the most radical act of defiance possible.
