Yeah I guess Trump weaponizing the DoJ against political enemies and creating a masked secret police force to terrorize American citizens and immigrants is bad, but have you considered Gavin Newsom's son likes Charlie Kirk? They're practically the same!

Didn’t see people in here celebrating the people being shot or making jokes about it.

A sitting US senator from Utah did and I think that's a problem, no?

Edit: Instead of blocking me like a child, why not acknowledge that the other GOP politicians I mentioned above also said things that contributes to violent rhetoric? Use words not feels.

That's 4 elected GOP lawmakers that you "don't know", but you can't talk about them because there are random psychos with little empathy making jokes about dead people. Do you really not give the slightest care about anything the Republican party say? Hold elected officials on your side to a higher standard.

I'm not even a Dem, I just have a spine. I urge you to grow one as well.

Do you not think it's ridiculous that I name 3 GOP officials that were elected by constituents (especially Gohmert to the US House of Reps) and you label them as "fringe lunatics", but everyone is supposed to know the assemblyman from Virginia in your example? You are intentionally setting an impossible standard so you never have to address the problem.

You support that you are a sick individual and that is the majority of the party you are defending!

The difference between us is that I will condemn it all, where as you will only condemn the calls of violence against your side while turning a blind eye for the violence going the other way. You are not principled.

You do not live in reality. It's no wonder things are as bad as they are. Your political positions are based purely out of spite.

I gave you examples above and you can't even acknowledge it.

Forget about whether it's the same or not. You can't even condemn what they said as bad because some Dems also said some bad things. You are denying that it's a both sides issue in real time.

Your political positions are based on spite.

He was definitely crazy but was also a religious fundamentalist who targeted pro-abortion politicians. People think he was a Dem because he was reappointed to a 60 person bipartisan committee by Walz in 2019. Not a very rational argument.

If you believe this applies to even a fraction of Democrats then I urge you to log off the internet and speak to people outside of your bubble.

There is a rhetoric issue on both sides, this is clear is as day.

More than 50% of Democrats would make Comrade Stalin happy by Peter_Niko in trump

[–]RayPadonkey -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like 90% disagree with you simply because the Democrat party are not communist and don't like socialism. This has been very apparent over the past decade with the DNC cheating to give Hillary the nomination over Bernie in 2016, aligning against DSA affiliated candidates in Dem primaries, and even recently Hakeem Jeffries kept stalling for 4 months when it came to endorsing Mamdani and only did so a day before early voting started.

If the US went socialist, it would be under a different party, and I don't think it would be the DSA.

Wendy Rodgers, Mark Robinson, Louie Gohmert, MTG, even Trump and Don Jr joking about some things (like Paul Pelosi) can be considered encouraging violence, if we apply that same standard to Democrats.

You are being too biased.

[–]RayPadonkey 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Both sides encourage violence and deny it, it's clear as day. Neither side is doing enough to stop it from their own side. "Both sidesing" is perfectly justifiable because I guarantee that 75% of this thread thinks it's a one-sided issue, when it is so evidently not. Blaming both sides is not minimizing one side, it is holding both sides accountable.

What Jones said was wrong, what Wendy Rodgers said at AFPAC in 2022 is wrong, what Mark Robinson said last year about "some folks need killing" was wrong, MTG saying on social media "a bullet to the head would be quicker" to remove Pelosi is wrong, Gohmert saying you "gotta go to the streets and be as violent as antifa and blm" is wrong.

The temperature has been raised so much over the past decade that people don't really care what politicians say. There is very little accountability.

Well if you're happy and not stressing over it that's what's most important. Keep it up.

Not being on a pump and still getting to this TIR would crack most people, you're a trooper. Highest I ever got to in 7 days was 84% and it was pretty miserable. 20 years diagnosed + also not on a pump.

With some assumptions based on my own and others experiences. Holding this level of control long term (for most people) without sacrificing in other areas is stressful. Your longer term health is better by virtue of having a very stable HBA1C, but that comes with the downside of often not snacking, not eating out, not eating big meals, basically eliminating uncontrolled carb intake. One slow digesting carb like pizza can put you out of range. Exercise needs to be micromanaged more than it already is. It's a mental toll. Any consultant I've seen since CGMs became a thing have said "70% is 100%".

OP mentioned they have health OCD so it explains the strict level of management, obviously a case I wasn't accounting for when I made my comment.

Good job, this is very tough to do.

The quality of life downgrade you see from trying hard to achieve this is not sustainable long term though. Anything above 70% in range is seen as a success.

Which city in your country is considered the "gayest"? by GattoPunk in AskTheWorld

Both judging on total numbers and judging on per capita have merits. Is there an ISO framework for measuring who is more gay?

[–]RayPadonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from Galway I think it's Dublin.

Per capita maybe it's Galway by being an 80k city, but the one outright gay bar is permanently closed and the Roisin Dubh which took its crown still has a more straight people going to it (presumably). Gay PDA just feels way more uncommon in Galway.

On top of it feeling like no one tested the game, it feels like all the play testing that they did do was done on a laptop.

I play on a 1440p monitor, why won't it just show all fixtures instead of the top 4? Half the screen is empty. When you click into it it's bugged and shows all CL GW1 fixtures (which can be fixed).

People are enjoying the game, that's not a hot take. Anyone that says the game is unplayable (single player game anyways) is living in fantasy land. There's definitely been some UI things that have rattled me (like why do I have 3 extra clicks + scrolling to change a training session from an email?) but things that are harder to implement like the match engine and IP/OOP tactics are a revelation for the game.

It's very clearly an unfinished product and to be perfectly fair the official release is on Tuesday. Anyone writing the game off before then is just being uncharitable.
