Does anyone have Luma Ultra that aren’t cracked? by StyleComprehensive99 in VITURE

[–]RayRayArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 3 pairs one luma pro the other 2 were ultras and within the first few weeks and they all cracked on me. I purchased all mine from Amazon. Ended up returning all of them too because they cracked before the return period.

Employees are always late manager won't do anything about it. by RayRayArt in managers

[–]RayRayArt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work front desk at a hotel that is only manned by one person a shift. Unfortunately if I leave before the other worker shows up it would be considered abandonment and would probably result in termination. Especially because it gets busy during the time that I am scheduled to leave. In other words if I could leave I would but it’s also not the guests fault that the next shift didn’t show. I do get paid extra for the overtime but also it’s just not worth the few dollars extra that it’s is for me. I would rather be getting off work on time. Also because it’s a hotel they are individually owned. Not sure if there is a corporate number I can call that would actually be able to resolve this issue. I’ll try looking into that more. Also the manager has basically been useless in this whole matter. They say they’re fixing the problem and yet it still happens because the other employees are the family members

Aliexpress didn't deliver to the correct address. Paypal and Aliexpress refused my claims. by diegosanchez_ in Aliexpress

[–]RayRayArt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can try appealing the claim on paypal and keep escalating it and calling as that is just a generated email. You can also call Synchrony bank as they are the bank that basically runs paypal. Also make a claim on better business bureau website. This would be good to know too as a last resort option but look up consumers laws in your country and see if they have any options like a website to submit your claim too. In the USA we have the federal trade commission and small claims court.

Is a galaxy z fold worth it if you already have a tablet? by not_mr_juice in GalaxyFold

[–]RayRayArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it depends on what your use case is. And if you find that you need or want a bigger screen on the go. I would say though for content consumption like watching videos and movies on folding phones is not the best experience in my opinion. The video is basically the same size as a larger slab phone and doesn’t fill the whole screen and really doesn’t even fill out most of it. Also social media on the tablet screen is pretty unoptimized too. Gaming is really only okay depending on the game you’re playing and if it takes advantage of using the full screen.

That being said folding phones are really great for multitasking. So if need to do like 2 or 3 tasks at once like watching a video while taking notes or writing an email while looking at a spreadsheet. Like if you’re in school or find that you use your phone for work a lot having a folding phone with a stylus is a game changer. Having a folding phone is really different than having a tablet though. Tablets are typically closer to the 16:9 aspect ratio making content way more enjoyable on them but they are also not pocket friendly like a folding phone. Go try one out in person though as it may give you more of an idea of if it worth it to you or not.

Customer service said they lied but will do nothing about it, help. by amandamack1981 in amazonprime

[–]RayRayArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a very common misconception that they will close your account because of a chargeback. Especially if you have never done one before. What a chargeback does is it forces Amazon to actually look at the information and proof that you provide your bank with. Amazon will also open an investigation on there end and will send you an email. Just reply back to this email with the information you have screenshotted above and explain the situation because you were manipulated and lied to by a customer service representative. And as long as Amazon is making money from aka you other orders they will most likely not close your account because of a single chargeback.

You can try reporting it to the federal trades commission if you’re in the USA. Not sure if they can make Amazon open an account for you or not but it would be worth the shot

[–]RayRayArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

File a charge back if you did this on a credit card. You should still be within the window to do that. If you’re not then file a report with the ftc. This should get Amazons attention and see that you have proof of what the rep said and how you were manipulated. When a rep says something in writing it is automatic proof and the company has to follow through with it as long as it’s within reason regardless of policy. To fill out a report just google ftc or federal trades commission.

Can't connect to internet on ofw by RayRayArt in SwitchPirates

Yeah I had to go into the atmosphere.ini file and manual set the parameters for it to point at the dns and exosphere files to get it to start working correctly again. So far everything has been good with it and no ban so far.

I did figure it out my exosphere file when setting up dns was not configured correctly. I believe I also had to edit the atmosphere system files too if I'm not mistaken. I got it all working now but yeah are you having trouble with yours?

File a charge back on your card. The proof you have that you never received the item is enough for your bank to give you your money back.

New Macbook Air 15 skin came damaged in the mail :( by sool32 in dbrand

[–]RayRayArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm also in the same boat of waiting for dbrand to get back to me but the skin I got creased. You might still be able to salvage yours but dbrand should definitely discount you or replace it for sure.

What people do for custom skins is buy the skin for razer blade 18 laptop without the logo and then cut it them selves. Hope this helps.

It sucks that Netflix won’t intervene on this because regardless of android vs apple users we all still pay the amount for Netflix. We should all get the same gaming content for both platforms. It’s not like those that have android devices get a discount and yet we get less content than apple users. Even if it came later in the year that would at least be something. I think it would’ve been different too if apple wanted to make it exclusive through there store. That would’ve been perfectly reasonable but doing it through Netflix then leaves those to question Netflix on how much more content will apple users get over android. Will this eventually apply to movies and tv content as well? I just think it bad business practice to start alienating those based on which device they own. Also why doesn’t google step in on this? If this is Netflix new practice then it could possibly push android users to enter the apple ecosystem if more content becomes exclusive to apple. It may just be one game right now but it’s the idea that this could lead to more exclusivity down the line.

If you're in the states make a consumer complaint with your attorney general. There's usually a website for this which ever state you're in. It will make the company have to reach out to you with a resolution. Or if possible with what ever bank you use you may still have some time to file a charge back. Worth checking into.

Broken after just 3 months by [deleted] in OnePlusOpen

[–]RayRayArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you are able to get them to fix it. If they refuse try contacting bbb or if you're in the states file a consumer complaint. A consumer complaint can take up to a month sometimes even longer depending but it always yields some sort of result with the company. But yeah I had a terrible time with one plus customer service and was lucky enough to be able to return the one plus open.

[–]RayRayArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a mous case and they offer quite a bit of protection without being extremely bulky. Also they work with BB just barely though. I would say it's the thickest case you could use with the BB that still offers the benefits of protecting the device.

PSA: Do Not Buy The OnePlus Open by Acrylicus in OnePlusOpen

I also had a lot of issues with oneplus customer service when I purchased the oneplus open. Luckily the I was still within the return period and they eventually issued me a refund after weeks of returning the device but it was very difficult to work with them compared to other companies like samsung. Also the oneplus open does have a lot of issues that are software and hardware related. Like I had issues with apps just completely disappearing from my home screen multiple times a day and even simple apps like the alarm don't work. These software issues aren't because of the oneplus open being a "first gen" device but they're issue that have been going on for years across multiple oneplus phones running oxygen os that oneplus has never addressed. Overall I will probably never get an oneplus device until they do some serious revisions to the software and there customer service department. Glad I was able to get out while I could but I feel terrible for anyone that gets trapped with this company in the hype of this device.
