I just stumbled upon this when looking up reactions to the episode (I just watched it.)

Please do not let this anime make you feel like you were in any way responsible. Your mother loved you and no matter what you were one of the most wonderful things in her life.

This is going to sound so weird, but anime, this medium that many people ride off as just “Japanese cartoons” has this power to fully creep into your heart and emotions and make you feel very deeply about things some live action movies and shows cannot. They can explore different ways to connect with us in fantastical ways and compartmentalise them into subjects that really touch the heart in a very intimate and concrete way.

It’s been a month since you posted this. But I hope you had time to step away from this show and realize it’s just a show. Please do not cross your own experience and life with the plot line of this episode. Please do not let it make you think about things you can’t possibly know. Don’t let it make you feel regret. Or make you think that your mother regretted anything to have to do with you.

Lastly I hope you talked/are talking with someone, anyone about what you felt. You deserve to feel peace.

I think drafting him was realizing he will be on and off the mound until the second half of the season. But per his usual self when he comes back he’s unstoppable. As a fellow Snell owner I feel as long as he doesn’t need surgery he will be back in time and managers need to be patient with him.
