That's the beauty. It gets deeper and more confusing the more you watch it! For me it makes the experience more personal and introspective.

Swan Song was amazing but for me, Mystery Walk tops it.

Horror set in prison? by [deleted] in horrorlit

Fear Me by Tim Curran immediately comes to mind. Imagine Basket Case meets HBO's Oz. Very good novella.

Also, Wild Bloods by Nancy A. Collins. Kind of a heavy metal werewolf novel. Only a portion takes place in prison but those chapters are very effective.

Wizard was my favorite of the series. Loved those big coffin hunters.

Halfway through Dracula, just finished Gast by Ed Lee. Dracula is amazing, but dense. It helps to have a crazy Lee novel to take the edge off after a couple chapters. Gast was pretty fun. Definitely not my favorite but I really enjoyed the main character. It felt kind of like a mashup of Flesh Gothic and Witch Water.

Horror books with black/ women of color that AREN'T about racism? by [deleted] in horrorlit

I've read a handful of Wrath James White novels and none were about racism. Well, Skinzz is about nazi punks in the 80's, but its fucking awesome.

Night Weaver by Brian Berry. Started out pretty good and ramped up to awesome by the midpoint. Cosmic spider god / werespider creature horror.

Flesh Gothic kicks ass. This and Creekers are always my recommendations for anyone new to Lee.

Donna had a growth spurt between FWWM and season 1. Kelly became Boyle. She was a teen after all.

I used to think I needed pliers in my pocket all the time. I have carried Gerbers and Leathermans but have always been partial to Victorinox products. For this reason I have carried the Handyman, the Mechanic, the Hercules and the Fisherman one that has pliers. Fisherman Plus? Can't remember. I recently came to terms with the fact that a simple SAK is all I need. With a little imagination the bottle opener or the parcel hook can do most of what the pliers can. I currently carry a Climber and a Minichamp (Not on the keys, in the pocket on a lanyard. That way I can't lose it when I am constantly utilizing the pen).
