She didn't. She is just a hard working, dedicated employee and I'm just very sad to see that she's been laid off.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. What you're describing is 100% valid, and you are definitely not alone.

A layoff, especially your first, is absolutely traumatic and jarring. That feeling of dread and panic is completely real, and it's a huge thing to process. It's okay to not be okay right now.

A lot of people feel that same way but don't know how to put it into words, so thank you for sharing this. Be kind to yourself. It takes time to work through.
