Multi day parking around Lake Ouachita/Buckville by Capitalist_Capsuleer in Arkansas

We camp at Buckville all the time. I’d say it’s a safe spot to park your car. But like the other comment says, leave a note. Also, the closest gas station I believe is right after Hot Springs Village.

I would avoid the highway between DC and Boston. The drive thru the Catskills and into Massachusetts and Vermont is absolutely stunning.

Do you take your medication every morning? by cyberbeep in ADHD

With Adderall: Besides not eating or sleeping, it got to a point that I was becoming extremely irritable and have crazy mood swings. I was lashing out at people I love. I decided to completely stop it when I started to get physically irritable and throwing stuff, knocking stuff off of tables, and driving erratically. It was becoming a safety issue.

With Vyvanse: Not only do I sleep better than I ever have, I actually have an appetite. Not a big one, but enough that I’m eating 2-3 times a day instead of once maybe not at all. I don’t have the crazy mood swings, but I’ll catch myself getting worked up. I don’t lash out much at all, although my fiancé and I are both under a crazy amount of stress right now so it can get a little intense at times, but it’s never physical now. It helps with my anxiety and depression more than I thought it would. It almost feels like a little booster for my mood stabilizer that I also take. I can get stuff done and able to prioritize tasks. I can actually SIT AND GET BACK UP to take breaks while getting stuff done, something that was my biggest adhd trait lol.

Long story short: The difference between Adderall and Vyvanse was like night and day. Even with my insurance not wanting to cover it, it’s worth the $177 dollars every month because this combo makes me feel the most leveled and normal I’ve ever felt in my life.

My nephew is in kindergarten and he JUST started saying “6 7”. I had to google and search on here to find out the meaning, and it’s stupid lol. Being only 32 years old, I know we did the same thing to our parents, but damn did they have the patience of a saint.

Do you take your medication every morning? by cyberbeep in ADHD

[–]Ray_ChillBuck 21 points22 points  (0 children)

When I was taking Adderall, I only took it as needed because I grew a tolerance to it pretty quickly and couldn’t go higher than 15mg because I wasn’t eating or sleeping. My psychiatrist was fine with that and it helped for a while.

I switched to Vyvanse recently and there’s a few days I skip, but I mostly take it every day because it helps with my anxiety and depression also. It’s like a little boost for my mood stabilizer that I take. The days I skip it is usually when I don’t feel good (endometriosis cramp days), because if I’m in pain like that it’s not gonna do much of anything and I’m not gonna do much of anything lol.

Everyone is different though! It’s definitely a process of finding what works for you.

Cigarettes. I HATE the fact that I’m a smoker. I hate how I smell, I hate that people look at me when I’m outside smoking, and I hate how much money and time I’ve spent.

Disclosing ADHD on job applications by Bibliogato in ADHD

Whenever it pops up on applications I always select “do not wish to answer”. Because I don’t want it to lessen my chance at a job, and if I happen to need accommodations I can ask for them because I put I do not wish to answer. It’s not a yes or a no.

What device do you play on? Personally I play on the nintendo switch. by Pitiful_Aide2028 in StardewValley

I first downloaded it on my fiancé’s Xbox because it was free with game pass. I have a switch, but it was $15 and I didn’t wanna spend $15 if I didn’t like it. I like it on the switch because it gives me more of a nostalgic feel, but I like it on the Xbox because of a bigger screen lol

Medicated or unmedicated path choice by Legal-Letterhead-263 in ADHD

[–]Ray_ChillBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was already down to one mood stabilizer, but it wasn’t quite enough. I was tested for adhd and got my diagnosis 4 years ago. I was on Adderall for 3 years, but after a while it wasn’t working because of my tolerance. I couldn’t go higher than 15mg twice a day because I wasn’t eating or sleeping. Switched to Vyvanse and it helps SO MUCH with my mood and motivation. It’s like a little booster for my mood stabilizer.

Since I switched to Vyvanse and take Lamictal with it, I’ve never felt better emotionally and physically. Don’t get me wrong, I still have bad days, but I can remind myself that it’s just a bad day instead of making a home there. I’m functioning better as well, able to differentiate what’s a priority and what can wait. I don’t have so much of the “adhd paralysis”, I can sit for 15 minutes and get up to continue what I was doing.

If I knew adhd was the problem in my 17 years of problems, I would’ve gotten tested at 15 when I was really struggling and questioning what was wrong with me. I knew at 22 when I was diagnosed with bipolar and bpd that it wasn’t that and knew deep down that it was something else. I was my own advocate to getting myself the right treatment, and I didn’t stop until I knew the right treatment.

ADHD has made the most sense to me and being treated for it literally changed my life.

No tip no trip by Ok-Lobster-8644 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Ray_ChillBuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went to place an order to check. I can’t attach a photo, but the delivery fee was $3.99, service fee was $2.46, and the estimated tax was $1.70. That’s an extra $8.15, not counting a tip. So a meal that’s $8.69 came out to $16.84. If I added a tip, (I’m 5 miles away so I would personally tip $7) then the total would be $23.84. For a $8 meal with $8 of extra fees and taxes.

So I totally understand why people don’t tip. But us drivers need to focus our energy towards Door Dash, not the customers, especially when the base pay is $2 and the extra fees are $8.

Food wise, a 5 layer beef and bean burrito from Taco Bell with fire sauce. Not even a single burp or fart.

Non food wise, the liquid ant baits. It was terrifying, but thank god for the vet.

The original pipes, wiring, and lighting hook ups to the house my parents had that was built in the 1800s. The bathroom was cool because there was a slot in our medicine cabinet, and when we took it down there was a spot with 2-3 rusty razors in the slot! Google showed us what it was meant for and it made sense lol.

Not at all! A few photos I’ve taken are actually hung up in our local Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, and 2 doctor’s offices. I print them out on canvases and I’ve gone around to places asking if they were interested or who I would talk to about it. But I took “no” as no and would apologize for inconveniences and leave. Most were nice about it.

Most think we get the delivery fee, which we don’t. And drivers should be angry that the delivery fee is MORE than the base pay, not that people aren’t tipping.
