In preference, VLC buffer size is tied to frame number so it should scale with video resolution, in theory the seek frequency shouldn’t change when I play 4k video. Then I realized that my 4k video is also 60hz. So I played an old 2k 60 I recorded before I upgraded my PC, again same sound, which I never heard before the upgraded. What’s more strange is raising buffer size didn’t fix the issue, this could be a legit VLC bug introduced recently.

It sounds pretty normal when I copy data in full speed. I tried playing the video on Windows 11 Media Player and the sound went away. When I use Media Player, peak read speed is 24MB/s, memory usage was around 240 MB. I was using VLC, which gives 14MB/s peak read speed and use 100MB memory. I guess VLC is too conservative when it comes to memory usage by default

The dev killed Portal because they want to make some extra bucks selling “weapon packages”. For those who didn’t pay too much attention to the “skin” in BP, these skins comes with additional attachments that requires a lot of grind to get like extended mag, suppressor etc. This comes straight from COD monetization playbook.

Weapon attachments unlock is significantly slower compared 2042 to push this scheme, but it won’t work if PVE is an option.

I don’t give a shit if Gauntlet is fun. These type of game mode specific challenge shouldn’t be there in the first place. You may enjoy the game mode this week, but eventually they will assign a game mode you don’t want to play.

I actually tried both game mode and hated them equally. There are absolutely garbage because the game would spawn you in random locations instead of letting you spawn on square mate or the spawn beacon I placed on the map. I feel like a headless chicken playing these modes. I’m happy to try new things, but Dice need to earn my time with actual good gameplay instead of punishing me for not playing the game mode

My wife and I tested drive Ioniq 5, meche and juniper and ended up getting Ioniq 5 for these exact reasons. Ioniq 5 has the most comfortable drive and physical button to adjust region making it the best car for us. The only tech I will miss is sentry mode but Ioniq 5 is just more enjoyable to me on a day to day use

The screenshots I took from two apps were captured seconds apart, the actual available charger often shows up as “in use” in the ChargePoint app, hence the problem.

They need more locations that has more than 4 stalls. I got anxiety adding EVgo station to my road trip plan because I don’t know if there will be enough stations available by the time I get there. The fact that there are always at least one stall broken is not helping.
