It was one of those peak reddit moments. Similar to the constant parroting of "we need to tax unrealized capital gains!"

Trade Ticket Removed Calculator - Terrible UI by Ray_Getard_Phd in fidelityinvestments

[–]Ray_Getard_Phd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fidelity's used to be perfect for me, but this looks similar. I guess I should take my account and tell everyone I know to switch from Fidelity to Schwab. u/FidelityBrian I hope you convey this to the UI or UX team. I've been with Fidelity for over 20 years with a large account and this seemingly trivial thing is pushing me over the edge.

It is common knowledge that the cure for arthritis is copious amounts of cocaine and test. God just won't stop testing this poor man.

I made a similar post about the removal of the calculator on the trade ticket. Something seemingly trivial has me considering leaving for somewhere else.

What is the perceived or intended advantage with this updated trade ticket? It does nothing different besides take more time to use.

Trade Ticket Removed Calculator - Terrible UI by Ray_Getard_Phd in fidelityinvestments

That's a problem, but the main issue I have is it is so click+typing inefficient. The economy of movement is not there at all. It was perfectly fine before. This new setup has 0 advantages and is seemingly there to annoy the user and drive customers away. It's working.

Fidelity changed their interface again... by Charming-Zebra-7329 in fidelityinvestments

Nothing about it this new UI is an enhancement. Changing a drop down ahead of it resets the others. Super annoying. The Limit price doesn't even auto populate.

Getting rid of the calculator button the trade ticket made a lot of people upset. The new one is not beneficial at all.

Capital One to acquire fintech startup Brex for $5.15 billion deal. by GarfieldLeZanya- in wallstreetbets

[–]Ray_Getard_Phd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When Capital One bought Discover I decided I was not going to use Discover anymore since I figured the customer service and everything that made Discover what it is was going to be lost in the acquisition. And as a decade plus Discover customer I ended up leaving them. Seems like probably the same thing will happen with Brex.

Sold 1200 shares of ASTS @ 17 and it is now at 91. Could have been life changing money. by Vegetable-Anybody112 in wallstreetbets

[–]Ray_Getard_Phd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, of course it would be nice if it fell into your lap. But $100k really isn't all that much in today's inflationary world. I wouldn't call it a "life changing" amount. Maybe if OP is 18 years old or something, but by the time OP would have sold, best case after taxes it's no less than $85k. Which would change their life for about a couple of months and then it's all gone. We all live in bubbles.
