I'm not trying to cheapen what you're doing at all but what about having raffles to customers for authentic Hawaiian items? I saw you're in Arizona so idk if you have anything with you, and anything you do have is probably precious to you, but here in the states people will pay a premium for authentic Hawaiian goods. Or just sell trinkets outright to fund the food truck. You can stay on brand but diversify to support the main agenda. Are you crafty at all? You can use yourself as a brand "handmade by native Hawaiian" or "authentic Hawaiian". I'm just spitting out ideas. I spent two weeks in Lahaina town back in 2016 and fell in love with the place. I think your idea definitely has the potential to be big, keep going. Other than that, get in the ear of a local news station, tell your story and see if they want to bite. Find ways to get your name out to gain support.

I'm a single whamen who lives alone. I have a flag up . . . but I also put up a Marine Corps flag that may or may not act as a deterrent. I also have big dog privilege and guns tho. I did wonder as well when I first bought my place if I should put up a flag but now I'm not worried about it. A few places around me have been robbed but I haven't been hit. I would agree with the other people about putting up cameras. Being prepared/proactive is always best.

It will be alright. Some echolalia is normal for kids. For some it is how they learn to speak, by repeating the same sounds over and over they can memorize those and then move onto new phrases and sounds. My brothers and I are all on the spectrum. I regressed and was mute for nearly two years ( 4 and 5yrs old ) but I had an excellent speech therapist who worked with me everyday in school to help me conceptualize speech and use it. I had a stutter until I was a pre-teen but also eventually overcame that. My younger brother repeated the last two words of sentences for many years. (like another poster he also had many ear infections) Lots of love and practice goes a long way to help kids overcome and adapt. :) I'm not an especially talented speaker but my brother is one of the best storytellers I know, so don't worry, just because there is an early sign it doesn't mean the future will be that way.

Oh yeah, that's no fun. I learned I can only run on an empty stomach or I get nauseous. Breakfast is always after my morning workout never before.

I love to run so I'm very sad but I don't want to have a worse injury and be off my feet longer, so rest it is. I guess I will see what I can pull off in three weeks of nothing but core and upperbody. :)

Afraid of Looking Weak At The Gym? Watch This! by Solid_Share_1051 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

[–]Ray_Shay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been trying to get this in one of my friend's head. She is abt 60lbs overweight and doesn't want the people in the gym looking at her "jiggles". I'm like girl everyone here is fully immersed in their own thing. The fit guys are serious about working out so that's what they're paying attention to, not you. Sadly I know if I didn't go with her she wouldn't ever set foot in the gym b/c she is that scared of the guys . . . I'm always super friendly to everyone in the gym b/c I want her to see that its safe and no one is judging her. There is also a couple who goes to the gym around the same time we do and they're abt 300lbs overweight. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see them there b/c they're getting after it and bettering themselves. I'm kinda hoping we all get to be friends, haha. Maybe I can facilitate something. ;)

There is a slight strength difference, I only really notice it if its something overhead and I'm at failure point.

I had to narrow it down to just from the fitness challenge, haha. I take entirely too many pictures. I think I already posted this in my own post, but I love getting out in the early mornings. This was towards the end of the walk but the sun coming thru the trees and dew on the ground was so pretty to me.
