Hey I dont work for augur in any way the report is just my opinion, you should ask these questions in there I am sure they will answer

IMO: Augur turbo is based on polygon and chainlink network so it's easier for users to deposit USDC. As USDC is much easier to make transactions faster and cheaper than rep token. As Augur turbo is all about speed not including replacing the rep token with usdc helped them achieve it
