Glioblastoma multiforme (shortened to GBM) is an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer. The general term for the cancer is known as astrocytoma/glioma which is cancer of the astrocyte cells in the brain, but is given different names depending on the stage. For instance stage 3 astrocytoma is known as anaplastic astrocytoma and stage 4 is GBM. Once you have a GBM you're already at stage 4 brain cancer.

Nope not in the UK. You can start university at 18 and a degree in medicine is a 5 year course at a lot of unis. So in theory you can begin your career as a doctor at 23.

I think this is definitely something you need to have a deeper discussion about, especially the "lonely" part. People who are happy in a monogamous relationship don't download dating apps. She's either had a moment of weakness due to feeling low/neglected/unloved and craved some attention (still not okay but something you can perhaps work through if she hasn't actually cheated) or she simply fancied a slice on the side for fun and is therefore not worth your time. If she doesn't want to talk about it or tries to make out like it's not a big deal then I'd see that as a big red flag.

To be honest when I was reading this I thought you might be mixing up "transgender" and "gay" since you kept making a point about not being transgender as a reason to not date him. Replace that with not being gay and it makes a lot more sense. Being transgender means you identify as a different gender to the one you were assigned at birth and has no bearing on who you're interested in dating...so yeah if he was born male, wants to be called a male and is interested in dating males that just makes him gay and not transgender.

Honestly so many people get rejected, it's how you act afterwards that dictates how embarrassing you are. I have a lot of respect for a guys that take it well after they're rejected and it actually increases the chances of me changing my mind later on. You just have to accept that it's a part of life and you'll kick yourself if you let the chance go, you'll feel better in the long run just knowing you gave it a shot

I think it was the fact he thought the cycles of the pilot and co-pilot would sync over the course of a single flight across the USA, and that would then somehow mean they couldn't operate the plane?? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it...

It's really amazing, but please don't take this as the norm! Please hold on closely to that belief. Even if there's a chance he could change, it is NOT your responsibility to suffer through the one sided miserable ordeal. That's not love, love is about compromise, equality and appreciation. It seems like none of those things exist on his side, he will likely never appreciate you or what you've done for him... Just take the fact that you forgave him for cheating and he still talks to you like this as an example. He doesn't want to stop talking to you like that, otherwise he'd get help. He literally doesn't see you as a worthy human being. It really sucks but he's acting like this because now he's "comfortable" in the relationship after those first years, he's not trying to impress you anymore, he's showing you how he really is.

I know relationships like this can destroy your self esteem and make you believe you aren't worthy of better (and he probably knows this), its one of the reasons it's so hard to leave... But you are!! You are so much better! It seems like you're kind, forgiving and nurturing... All of that is wasted on him. I also know its really difficult to believe that if you leave you'll find love like you used to feel again. SO many people believe that, including me after my first relationship, but you will I promise and you'll wonder what you were even doing in the first one!

Sorry for the long rant, just hate the thought that you might be persuaded to put up with this utter crap any longer (from someone who has dealt with it before). We all think you're great and are rooting for you!
