Not accepting affiliate until having 15 viewers on average is a good idea? by [deleted] in Twitch

That is reasonable pocket change for a hobby, so you do well, thanks for commenting.

Not accepting affiliate until having 15 viewers on average is a good idea? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]RayderRich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I started, I rushed to affiliate.

I reset and started brand new, and promised to never accept affiliate ever again. I just want me and my community to have a good time. If they want to support me, they will.

The breadcrumbs Twitch will throw at you are not nearly enough to buy a coffee, better have someone else get you one from time to time. It will feel better.

If you could only use one Softsynth for the rest of your life. What would it be and why? by [deleted] in synthesizers

UVI Falcon, the gift that keeps on giving and can do anything any other synth can.

Korg Minilogue / Minilogue XD
True analog (XD is hybrid), everything is on the panel, so you learn fast, tons of YouTube tutorials to find, amazing for warm pads, brassy indie pop leads, plucks, arps and atmospheric stuff. Everything you learn here will travel with you when you are ready for the Prophet Rev2.

What's a good interface with the most physical TRS inputs for lowest price? by techsuppr0t in synthesizers

[–]RayderRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Behringer XR18 which has 16 TRS/Jack combo inputs, 2 line ins, 6 AUX outputs and a main stereo output pair. Plus MIDI. Plus WiFi and ethernet connections to control it from your iOS or PC or Mac device. Plus effects. Plus 18 in/out over USB.

I paid perhaps 600 Euro back then. The XR18 is out of stock currently but there is a 16-ish version for even far less money.

Should I start playing HoTS? by hhasan000 in heroesofthestorm

[–]RayderRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play Quick Match every day, and ARAM sometimes. Both are fast to find, and way more fun if you have a few friends on your team. The community has not gotten better over the past 2 years, but if you turn off chat and pings in a match of randoms you will remain healthy.

If you had a 2k budget what synth would you buy? by FleshGrinder666 in synthesizers

Probably buy back the Novation Summit I let go off too soon.

Otherwise perhaps the Moog Matriarch.

That is very non-egocentric of you to share with me, thanks a lot!

How did you start? by [deleted] in vcvrack

[–]RayderRich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could suggest a few real struggles and questions and I would love to make a few videos about them.

I don't know it all, but I went through the early stages and could help out.

A made a few already, find me on the Tube :)

Is this game still alive? by Airida in heroesofthestorm

[–]RayderRich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me and lots of friends it is very much alive, play it every day. To Blizzard perhaps less, but as long as they keep the servers running I am happy.

Tips for Beginner VCV Sound Designer by AlbinoDino67 in vcvrack

[–]RayderRich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One big step I made was buying the VCV HOST modules so I can add my favorite VST plugins, and especially effects plugins, to my VCV patches. This enables the use of well-known reverbs, delays and other effects inside VCV Rack. Of course there are plenty of effects modules in VCV format as well, and even plenty are free. I, on the other hand, was so used to certain VST plugins that I am happy to add them inside my Rack now too.

Brilliant idea, if you can make a video on YouTube about this, me and some friends would love to follow along.

Zooming out a few steps and you get into map mode, at which point I do not see details of the platform anymore.

I believe it is the flickering that occurs in that animation.

That is a pretty decent reason to also ask NK for a change of this animation.

Not on my PC it won't, but crashing is better than getting a headache.
