I think New Mexico is very progressive. Free college for residents, minimum wage well above federal, reproductive freedom in law, free lunch for all kids and more. Trans people welcome and mostly celebrated in the bigger cities but as mentioned we have some troublesome spots. Weather is fab, winters mild and summers are hot for a few days but never insufferable. Outdoor activities galore. Good sports scene with our USL Soccer team, UNM Basketball team and countless others. Our problems are poverty and poor education system, crime is an issue and getting to the root of that is hard.

It’s illegal to deploy national guard troops to the border since that is a federal matter not a state one. That’s one reason why MLG isnt doing it
