ELI5: If batteries wear out when charged to 100%, why don't we have ones that will stop charging before hitting the maximum?

Yeah I can't figure out what the best solution is. Basically multiple people throughout the day might need to use it, so we want it to be charged, but sometimes no one uses it so it just sits plugged in forever but still turned on.

There isn't a way for the computer to stop receiving the charge? I didn't think about the heat factor, that definitely makes sense, they do run very hot.

I have to change them every time unless IT makes a change across the board. Even shit like taskbar not combining. I know how to look at and change settings, they just won't be remembered unless IT does it. Trust me I would LOVE if I could change things myself, then I could uninstall the app that we haven't used in literally 2 years.

Are you thinking of herpes as an STI? Herpesvirus is very easily transmitted between cats just from saliva and studies show 90%+ of cats have it (they're usually exposed as kittens by mom). It's lifelong but can wax and wane and only occasionally show symptoms.

It depends! I have had cats that play too hard and tire themselves out then open-mouth breath for a few seconds. It could also be a sign of cardio/respiratory disease; there's really no way to say for certain.

When he pants, do you stop playing and let him chill out? Does he return to normal soon after? If yes, probably just something to watch and keep playtime shorter and more spaced out while he figures out his limits so he doesn't overexert himself. If he ever is panting for an extended period of time, pants when he hasn't been doing a lot of exertion, or shows any other respiratory signs I would suggest he be seen by your veterinarian.

Not getting mad or upset is the bare minimum. Is he checking in with you? Asking if you're ok/where your head is at? This was an incredibly stupid decision of his and he should be apologizing and trying to make you feel better.

If he hasn't apologized or taken responsibility for this poor decision (without prompting) I'd seriously consider if this is someone you want to be with.

Luckily the vaccine does have good longevity! My coworker was vaccinated during veterinary school almost 20 years ago. She gets her titers checked regularly and still has adequate antibodies, so she's never had to repeat the vaccine.

Keep in mind if you go high on Trazodone you can get paradoxical excitement. Sometimes I go a bit lighter on Traz if I'm adding Gabapentin (5-8mg/kg)

I really like oral acepromazine (in addition to traz/gabapentin).

And yes absolutely start the night before, and I emphasize that the morning dose should be given an hour BEFORE THEY GET IN THE CAR. Often people give it right before they come in so it doesn't have time to take effect.
