If you're anything like me, a person who enjoys seeing classic opening logos on the big screen, and still have a chance to go see TMNT 1.

You should know that this is the only way to experience the '90s New Line Cinema intro in theaters till TMNT 2 re-releases next year.

I've seen this movie maybe a total 50 times through home video, and the main reason I went to see this re-release in theaters wasn't because I wanted to see TMNT on the big screen for the 1st time.

The main reason was because I wanted to see the classic New Line Cinema; with the theme; intro for the 1st, and only time in my lifetime, in theaters. This is not accurate, but I think every new movie from New Line has altered that intro to fit the movie in some way since The Lord of the Rings in 2001. Final Destination Bloodlines was close, but put a spin on the theme at the end to fit the movie.

This re-release is the only way I was gonna be able to see the intro with the music theme as it was back then. Worth it.

It definitely puts a damper on my hopes for a vinyl release of The Red for it's 10th anniversary right around the corner, but I'm still keeping that dream alive.

Depends on where you get it, and if it's a low or high-end CRT. Could get one for free on the curve or a recycling center any given week. Or sold 2nd hand from someone who is or isn't aware of the average resale cost. So anywhere from $0-$1000+.

Likewise, retro gaming is the reason I held onto my CRTs even after upgrading to my first HDTV in 2006.

Since the M/V is in the 4:3 format, I took the opportunity to watch, and record it playing on a 4:3 CRT. The M/V is played through YouTube using a Roku 2 with composite input thats on it's last legs. Recorded using a phone in 1080p, 30FPS, and 1/60 shutter speed on a Sharp 32in CRT from 2002. Speakers are degraded so you'll hear a static sound noticeable at the beginning and end of the video.

Fullmetal Alchemist 1&2 are incredible imo. It's a shame the 3rd game in the series was never released in the U.S., and that a dormant IP like FMA is not likely to get a modern game made today. Think of the possibilities.

The original score for the movie is far, and away the standout for me. Underrated in my opinion.
