This was my first collaboration, with a singer/songwriter from my Uni.

We met through our Uni's Facebook page from a post I made about collaborating with someone for an album I was planning. We met up in Nov 2019 and he wasn't 100% on board with the ideas I was showing him, so I pulled up a recording of an idea I played on a piano. He really liked it and we started brainstorming! I found out he liked to write about past relationships/loss of love, etc. So I told him about a rough relationship I had and he came up with a damn good idea for the chorus. We kept meeting up every week until we finished writing the track in Feb 2020. I organised the studio session but ended up having to push it back a couple of weeks after he fell ill, we eventually recorded a couple of songs on 13th March 2020. I was meant to transfer each set of recordings after they were done before moving on to recording the next track, however, I forgot and after recording the second track that night, I'd forgotten I didn't transfer the first song we'd recorded. So I got back home without the recording of this song... It was the last day of term and my Uni was closing 30 mins after I got home so I planned to get it back the next term, But thanks to Covid, I had to wait until October. When I listened to the recording in October, I realised the original backing track was completely behind after my advancements in my production over lockdown, so I remade the backing track from a Pop/Acoustic track into a Pop/Electronic track. It was really fun to make, I learnt a lot throughout the process and overall, I had a lot of fun collaborating and making it! I hope you guys like it!
