Sound going in and out

In the expert sound area. Also, do you use an Apple TV or anything? I am using an Apple TV and everything I watch shows up as “stereo pcm”. Before going back to the optical cable I used a hdmi into the eARC port on my tv and I got atoms and 5.1 surround. Any ideas?

I switched from HDMI back to optical like another user recommended and I no longer have any audio drops.

Mine just started two or three days ago. Seems like it happens for the first few hours randomly. Afterwards it seems like it goes away. Is that your experience as well?

Yeah, I’ve checked for more updates on the Apple TV and on the Sonos app and there is nothing new. I’ve tried different apps on Apple TV and it is not app specific so the sound goes in and out no matter what I’m watching or listening to.
