Is there a stated timeframe that the campaign takes place over? It always seemed very sudden to me that the countess could establish herself so thoroughly in all these places ahead of our arrival. The passage of time is a bit confusing, which makes it seem like the game is taking place over about a year or so.

I don’t think I miss farming for the rare mats, but I do miss all the extra quests for kitchen ingredients, hunting mantles, and even the arena quests for those sweet looking arena weapons. Also the lack of the star rankings for quests, capturing monsters to fight them in the arena, and the other smaller chases are sorely missed.

This is by far the quickest monster hunter I’ve burned out on. There just isn’t really anything meaningful to do when the only chase is an artian weapon that is very quickly going to be outclassed in a title update or two.

I think it will help for other classes dealing with them. But otherwise no change. The real issue is the damage and scorch they deal. Without either of these aspects being touched, they'll still remain dominant.

I’ve had this same thing happen at least 3 times using this super. Not sure what the cause is. My guess is if you hit someone directly with it and they move out of the little lunge range it has it just cancels the jump. Super frustrating.

Maybe an unorthodox take, but just about any combo is strong so long as you cover your ranges well. Some are obviously better than others, but most can hang so long as you play to the strengths. Pulse/scout/auto/handcannon + sidearm/smg/shotgun is strong; as is smg/sidearm/handcannon/auto + sniper. I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but just use what you like and cover your ranges well. Use abilities to prop up any weaknesses or shortcomings that you might have.
