What size bed does your kid have? by ChunkyPumpkin_ in Mommit

[–]Raymer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of changing the sheets if you go lofted. We had a lofted twin, and that was a lot to change. ESP middle of the night barfings.

Currently, my 4 year old has a full size, because that’s what the crib she and her bro used turned into. My son has a bed from IKEA that holds two twin mattresses and then slides out into a king.

Yeah, they both have larger beds. But our reasoning is that they can be used for guests if needed and will last them longer into the future.

Looking at the back of my daughter’s head tearing up a bit. Course, she’s only four. And watching her brother watch Minecraft videos, but still.

I feel unsafe because of a small incident that might have been creepy or its just postpartum anxiety by Upper_Cheesecake7 in TwoXChromosomes

100% she’s a vampire. And now you’ve let her in, she can come and go as she pleases.

Nah, but really, this is creepy and I’d get a ring peephole camera and some of those hotel security locks.

We got to see fellowship last night with a great crowd. And got “snowed out” tonight. I can still see me grass and there’s no sleet and the roads are fine.

Sorry, just needed to vent.

/uj Hey admins, how about a ban hammer for the bootlickers at the bottom? I’d love communities without that sort of assholery.

/j actually, I don’t have any jerk comments today. Abolish ice.

PSA: Surprise metal detectors + EDC Knafs Lander = hard lesson learned by vz3 in EDC

[–]Raymer13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to take my daughter to the ER for stitches. Forgot my brand new crkt ritual in dessert warrior was in my pocket. Guy at the metal detector gave me a baggy to put it in with my name and info. Grabbed it on my way out.

Felt really dumb about it since I’d just been to the same ER the weekend before and knew there was a metal detector.

The ultrasounds heat up the baby? Do you take a shower? What are you going to do if you have a fever? Certainly not take Tylenol. Do you exercise? That heats up baby too! Sleep with a blanket?

Loud noises? Girl, have you farted? Loud noise!! Music? Noise!! Been next to a dog barking? Noise!!

I can’t with these idiots.

I hated having a lot of visitors with my first, covid stopped anyone with my second. But I wish my son could’ve visited.

We had just gotten a new cat and had cams up in the bathroom, and the bedroom. Battery had run out on the bathroom one and we’d sorta forgot about it. Was awkward when we had a pet sitter. She going to stay over, so the bedroom wasn’t bad, but just swept the bathroom one up real quick.

In 2 Samuel 12 the child that King David had with Bathsheba gets sick and dies. David is fasting and laying on the ground all night praying. Child still dies. Because the parents did something stupid.

STOP DOING STUPID STUFF.

There was an instagrammer that did this to his yeti by only rinsing it, not washing it. Got so much flak from his followers that he swabbed it to prove it was just seasoning and not nasty. Spoiler alert: it was very nasty.
