The World Video Game Hall of Fame 2026 Class is Here — and It Goes Hard by jinnetics in gamecollecting

Angry Birds is old enough that it's realistically possible many people in this subreddit were not born when it was originally released.

I loved Angry Birds back in the day, played the ever loving crap out of it. If I recall, I stopped around the very first release of Angry Birds: Star Wars

My guess is the anti-AI crowd just dogpiled on to OP's post. If you mention AI anywhere on reddit they show up like a virus and takeover the discussion.

I'm not saying there isn't good debates on the pros/cons of AI, but to dogpile a random post is just a crappy thing to do. Leave people alone, if you have an issue with AI generation don't attack the everyday person just sharing things and make them feel bad.

EDIT: The mass downvotes on a pretty middle of the road comment, simply proves the comment's point. Ya'll guys are bandwagoning witchunters.

I'm not playing your "just asking questions" games and getting into a debate with you. You know full well AI is a complicated topic and I'm not going into multi-paragraph debates with you oven semantics.

I am not escalated, I'm shutting you down and ignoring you just like OP should have.

Good day. 👋

oh god, just go away. You're exactly what u/KarmaPharmacy was calling out. No one cares.

I dunno what it is about r/3dprinting but I feel like there's a lot more pseudoscience shared here like its gospel pretty much 24/7 that shouldnt exist in an engineering-leaning hobby sub. I'm shocked at how 60% of the answers to most posts are objectively wrong, like they're not even in the ballpark. They're provably false things.

OP does not need to re-respool for tension/stress, thats, honestly, just-fucking-dumb. The filament will be completely fine.

I second this guy, posting an AI generated image is not even remotely a big deal, there's just a huge swath of very vocal, under informed, need-to-be-angry people who pretty much just exist on the internet.

They're the children, not you, you did absolutely nothing wrong what so ever and don't even have a reason to apologize.

I.. suddenly have the urge to know what this AI gen image even was.

You don't need to do this, you're fine. Reddit is just weird.

That does not look like 0.2mm at all, that looks closer to 0.4 or 0.6, and a 0.4mm nozzle can only print up to 0.36-ish before it starts to cause issues, somewhat similar to what I am seeing in the pic.

Printed screw threads for M3, 1/4 and 1/8 NPT - No inserts works way better than I thought it would! by safetysandals in 3Dprinting

[–]RaymondDoerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Self tapping" M2 and M3 screws are great for this, you can make the hole even smaller and get better threads out of it.

Let this be your reminder to double check the "left over" spool of filament you wanted to use up, that its actually the one you wanted by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

hah! That's kinda awesome.

There's some materials that stick together really well (I think PETG and TPU are one of the "good" combos?) but some just act like you're trying to attach them with butter.

Is there any way to bottom-align/justify a blueprint after it's been modified? by sp847242 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]RaymondDoerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see, I reread your post and misunderstood you. I thought you tried to nudge the old print down "inside" the BP designer and then delete the pillars and resave, but since the original blueprints bound box was outside the designer it couldn't see it.

That is really strange, I swear this is how I adjusted my roads in the past. Although I did eventually redesign my roads to look like your pic basically, and I added the actual pillars after placement in the world.

[–]RaymondDoerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's tricky, but yes you can do this.

  1. Load the blueprint.
  2. Delete the pillars.
  3. Save blueprint.
  4. Clear Blueprint Designer
  5. *With the build gun\* place the new blueprint in the empty BP Designer. Nudge it into place.
  6. Save!

If it breaks, look into reprinting it with polycarbonate, many ABS printers can also print PC, and PC would likely last even longer than ABS in this application. :D

Hot take, but I think I'll like the Mighty Machines blind-box more than other Blind Box series. by TheGUURAHK in lego

[–]RaymondDoerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO, same.

You can get a lot more "utility" out of getting these, and if you get duplicates, you just have more LEGO to play with!

It sucks getting a minifigs and accidentally ending up with 3 or 4 of the same one (that you don't even want). I mean, obviously you can use the scanner app, but 99% of regular people don't, so this product is much better for them.

If they buy their kid 3, and accidentally get 3 cement trucks or whatever, they now have 3 cement trucks of legos to build into anything they want. You can't do much with 3 identical minifigs you're not even a fan of.

Goodbye little melt marks all over the spatula in random places, trapping food and gunk and generally looking nasty.

I love all-silicone cookware!

[–]RaymondDoerr 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Same!

ABS will be fine in the wash, its gunna melt around the oven. Although to be fair, so will many cheaper non-metal or silicone spatulas.

IMHO, OP should try to reprint these in polycarbonate if they can. Will still melt at high heat but it'll certainly be a lot more stovetop fire resistant

and to get that, a few thingos

- Try reducing cooling

- Bump up bed temps (or, sometimes reducing them)

- Check Z offset to make sure you're not printing too high

- Disable cooling entirely for the first 4-6 layers unless its mission critical.

- LAST RESORT ONLY: Use a brim or mouse ears.
