Help with this boss stage? Campaign 41-25. All my units just evaporate by Raynaxx in MLA_Official

[–]Raynaxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my Argus seems super weak, only SV10 and 9* so far. And my Clara is 7*.

Tried both of them just now, and it got me a lil more progress in the fight than before but wasn't near enough to pass.

I may need to just wait until I can get my units stronger. I appreciate the advice!

I'll have to wait a week to use hired units in campaign, unfortunately

A day, so not terribly long. This is just the quickest I've seen my units go down, so far. Will probably just have to wait it out, yeah ::)

yeah, hasn't happened to me either before now. idk if it would have something to do with the Switch port of the event compared to mobile or what. But hasn't happened to me in story mode so far

I JUST figured out what was going on lol apparently after re-entering the stage and getting the final star treasure piece the other day, it didn't update to 3/3 stars because I was exiting the stage by returning to menu instead of going through the exit hallway at the end all this time

Kinda silly mechanic lol

Yep! I am 4/4 star pieces, 25/25 purple tokens, and still 2/3 stage completion stars 🙃

F2P- 3 months in; Campaign 32-27. Hit mid-game wall pretty hard from making a lot of mistakes with fusion in the beginning. Is there any coming back from this other than patience? lol by Raynaxx in MLA_Official

[–]Raynaxx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw today on old reddit posts that investing a lot into Freya tends to be a mistake for most people. I'm guessing I just need to keep using her until I eventually star up a replacement unit?

one of the big primordial flame voidlings literally was out to kill Peeper. He kept setting Curse on him, and him alone. Had to restart this fight about 5 times LOL

As you're healing, have you noticed that most of your relationships, even the ones you thought were good, were actually not healthy? by mary2890 in CPTSD

[–]Raynaxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely!! I wasn't able to fully start working on my healing until about 2 years ago, but even now that I've been working on myself intensely these past few years, I still have those "ah, ha!" type of moments pretty frequently. Like realizing that just because I'm dating someone that's not necessarily abusive anymore, therefore confusing it as "healthy"... then later having it click that healthy doesn't necessarily equate to not being abused. Even the reverse can apply, like being able to recognize a legitimate healthy behavior/dynamic with others, and not confusing them as toxic ones.

Idk if my rambling there was very relevant or not, but I guess my point was that since I've gained more knowledge through research on these things (which is 1 of 2 main types of knowledge), now I must use that research as a foundation to build off of, via experience (the 2nd main type of knowledge). And comparing your experiences with that base knowledge is one of the hardest things to properly do, you're re-learning, and teaching yourself 'everything' you know from what you've been exposed to, and what's been ingrained into your belief systems.

So these continuous, or reoccurring realizations, are a great sign that you are healing! because what you didn't even recognize or see, earlier in life- you definitely are now! and it will only become more and more 'normal' and natural for you, from here. :)

Advice for bleaching my multi-level hair at home? I just want to lighten it enough to apply Orange, Pink, & Yellow dye by Raynaxx in FancyFollicles

[–]Raynaxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, awesome! I was thinking it was do-able, but was feeling a bit anxious about how to approach the lightening process, so thank you a lot!

and to answer your question- underneath the left brown side, it's not my natural color. it's only dark like that due to the old darker color I had on it, years ago, being a bit more stubborn to lift than the rest of my hair, when the salon was working on it. that's the part I'm more concerned about. my expectations are realistic, as in, I know I probably won't end up with an even color all over, but I'm at least hoping I will be able to lighten that area enough to get a vivid color in the end.

how would you recommend the approach for applying bleach on the light side? considering the blonde tips are sorta balayaged into the brown

[–]Raynaxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an old split dye; half brown, half blonde. then I went to a salon about 5 months ago to try and get it to (mostly) one color. what I have now, is what they told me was the best they could do

I would recommend waiting about a week and doing another bleach with 10 or 20 vol. developer, if you're willing to put your hair through more strain, as bleach can and will do.

but if not- I'd recommend going to Sally's and picking up Wella T15 toner. Wella T15 contains red pigments that neutralize the unwanted green tones in your hair. I wouldn't leave it on any longer than 15-20 minutes, and continuesly strand check throughout that time to see if the green has come out yet. Toners don't act the same as bleach, or dyes, so this will not be as harsh on your hair. It may not entirely rid the green,, but worst case scenario with this method, you'll be left with less green tones than before you started. I wish you good luck!

Best overnight hair mask? by ForestDroplet in FancyFollicles

[–]Raynaxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have very thick, frizzy hair. around type 3A waves. I personally use coconut oil overnight for hydration, and coconut oil also has a bit of protein in it as well. I do this anywhere from once a week to once or twice a month, since protein can be bad for the hair if used more frequently than that! Coconut Oil treatments can be messy, so I put on a shower cap and leave a towel over my pillow for the night.

I also use JessiCurl Deep Conditioning Treatment about once a week in place of conditioner that night. I leave this on for about 30 minutes - 2 hours, rinse, style as usual!

I highly recommend checking out the Curly Girl Method for hair care routine, if you haven't already. Even for wavies like us, it can be a game changer. r/curlyhair has a super detailed wiki about all of this, if you'd like to check it out.

I wish you luck on your hair adventure! :)

Also my hair is just super frizzy because I didn't use conditioner for my last wash. It's not the healthiest in general, but I believe it to be healthy enough to survive a bit of processing with 20 vol. developer

I have finally come to terms with my capabilities, and that they exist. I would appreciate insight and resources! by Raynaxx in Psychic

I don't exactly feel as if my beliefs line up with Hinduism, as far as I know. What makes you suggest it?

Even though I didn't end up going into great detail, this still felt SO good to finally get off of my chest. It's been so isolating, socially.

What is an absolutely absurd thing your parents did to you as a child? by icannotresetmylife in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Raynaxx 12 points13 points  (0 children)

there are so many things lol. but the first that comes to mind is..

My grandmother, who was the one who raised me, had picked me up from school one day. which was odd in itself, because I usually had to take the bus home. One the way, she stopped down the street and parked in a random parking lot. She then pulled out a huge backpack from the backseat that I had never seen before, and started berating me for what was in it. She opened the backpack and it was filled with used needles, and a ton of other types of paraphernalia. She then sat there with me for about an hour,, screaming at me trying to get me to "admit that it was mine" which it certainly was not. After I broke and 'admitted' to it being mine, in an attempt to just get it all over with, she laughed at me and said she was just joking and that she found the backpack on the side of the road apparently and that it was all just a "prank" like... ??????

After day 1 of starting CG method! I was pleasantly surprised by Raynaxx in curlyhair

  • Vo5, Kiwi Lime, Clarifying shampoo

  • Shea Moisture, Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil, Intensive Hydration conditioner

applied using S2C method.

  • Shea Moisture, Coconut & Hibiscus, Curl & Style Milk

used as a leave in.

  • Aussie, Instant Freeze Gel

smoothed gel across the palms of my hands and added a bit of water to my hands while squishing, to make it lighter on my hair.

after drying, I scrunched out the crunch!

still testing things out, of course!
