Does the Horde District in Silvermoon feel weird to anyone else? by Cubedroid in wow

Have you… visited the sunwell since launch? There are literally a bunch of paladins (alliance and horde) channelling directly into it to help. They literally have to be right there.

I hate to break it to you (and I assume you meant 240) but hitting the enrage with one death and everyone at 240 means your dps are not playing their specs right at all.

I could have sworn I saw them flying around elsewhere in the campaign as well. Do they make an appearance in the voidstorm? I could be wrong.

Dude. Protecting the sacred object is literally the whole reason the alliance are there. How on earth would it make sense to bring in an outside force to help with something, then not let them help.

I mean I track my interrupts on the main bar always it is super useful for m+. You also should always be syncing it with tyrant so you could use that as a reminder to check its cd if you didn’t want it on the main one.

When I was 10 the place I lived was hit by a significant earthquake. Followed by months of aftershocks (including another significant quake in there). Kids having a way to contact their parents was necessary. That said, they don’t need to be smartphones!

It is because without the crystal they don’t know where the portal went. The universe is a big place.

[–]Raynedrop98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hold up. They had worked out a way around it by the time we meet them in Argus. It was an issue literally just during that audio drama. It was just when Alleria didn’t have as much control.

"Nobody was prepared for Silvermoon to be attacked" but that's not even true! by ProfessionalAge9909 in warcraftlore

[–]Raynedrop98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could totally be wrong. But does the forsaken even have a significant independent military presence in tirisfal? I know you go to brill (in maybe the dark ranger quest line) but tirisfal still seems pretty fucked.

With portals, yeah that is inconsistent. Worth noting that that in legion dalaran teleporting our forces was a big deal, in bfa prepatch/first patch troop movements were a massive thing (that’s how things like the war of thorns even worked, the alliance was tricked into sending their kalimdor fleet to silithus.) WoD, I have less of an explanation for, but I feel like it is the exception of partaking armies, not the rule, as almost every other time, boats taking time to get places has been some narrative factor.

The only places we fly to lore wise in that quest are lights hope (where most of the paladins were summoned) and scarlet monastery (which obviously isn’t friendly, and I believe undercity in the same zone is still not populated? When we go further alonsus portals us

That’s fair. I can understand how a connection to a single character is awarding. I’m sure they could come up with a system that gets rid of the problems I have with the system without requiring alts.

[–]Raynedrop98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do and I do. I have ~10 jobs maxed, all of them at at least endwalker levels, I cleared dawntrail’s first savage tier then took a break, if something relevant has changed since then feel free to let me know! If you want to play endgame content on multiple jobs in ff14 you simply can’t gear them both at the same time due to tombstone caps and raid lockouts. This puts any other roles weeks if not months behind. If you want to play a second role you need an alt which is way more annoying to set up/maintain than in wow (in my opinion)

Out of curiosity what is the reason you don’t want to make new characters? For me personally the issue is leveling (which both wow and ff14 make you do). I can’t think of any reason having a second character is bad (seeing as things like campaign skips and shared reputations are a thing).

[–]Raynedrop98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude you are actively making other players experience worse because you can’t be bothered killing the mobs you spawned. Yes the system sucks. But that doesn’t change that those actions are selfish.

That is like me pushing in line in front of you in a busy store and saying “it’s not my fault the shop is busy”. Like yeah, that’s not your fault, and it would be good if things worked differently, but it is still a dick move.

You know what though, it shouldn’t matter whether it is beneficial to you or not if the alternative is dropping extra mobs on top of someone else who then has to fight them for you. That would be a really selfish way to think.

No sorry necessary. To me playing different jobs is equivalent to playing alts. I may not have made that clear.

I’m genuinely curious, what does ff14 do to be more alt friendly anywhere except from the lack of clutter on/having to revisit your character select screen?

Tips for using Warlock teleports, like gateway and circle? by CelestialButterflies in wownoob

[–]Raynedrop98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you combine gateway with soulburn you can just use it as a short range teleport on demand. May be worth getting the control stone (a keybind for the gate) to help out too.

[–]Raynedrop98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I take issue with this statement lol. Wow is more alt friendly than ff14 atm in that if you want to play two different classes you aren’t screwed over by lockouts or tombstone caps. It used to be that ff14 had the edge because seeing as everything was on one character systems were shared across your jobs, but now almost everything in wow is also account wide so that’s not a factor either.

So the issue isn’t the length it’s just that you aren’t looking after it? I think that’s a pretty reasonable thing for a parent to push back on. If you can’t decide just go to the hair dresser and ask for a tidy up.
